Last month, as I traveled back to Christchurch from Motueka, Nelson. I stopped at Lewis Pass, one of the three Alpine road passes that crosses the Southern Alps.

It was my first time to stop there, and fortunately, it had several walks to choose from, so I chose the shortest walk bearing in mind that I still have a long drive to Christchurch.

It was a short 10mins walk, but l enjoyed it, wishing I couldn't stick a bit longer.

Looking at the other walks Lewis Pass offers, St. James Walkway interests me as it takes 4-5 days to walk with huts 🛖, that will be great fun in nature, though it might be too cold for me in winter.
