Haven been on Hive for four years, I have never met any Hive community member in person, I sure can't refer to the ones I onboarded as meeting. I have always want to have a feel of making friends here on Hive and then meet in person.
Myself and @rynow met on Hive, he resides in Pretoria +- 40km away from me in Johannesburg. We have been keen on meeting a while back but delays was from my side and reason which I explained to him today with his lovely wife @stardust
Meet up for breakfast was what we agreed on, impressively we were both punctual, I arrived 40mins earlier and they arrived about 25mins earlier, I love it when people keep to time lol.
We didn't beat around the bush much in deciding which restaurant to have breakfast as there were over ten restaurant to choose it can become tough in deciding like kids in candy shop 😃
We opted for Wimpy, breakfast is always nice at Wimpy lol, we all opted for cappuccino and before that arrived conversations were on going, quite a lovely morning we had I must say.
I love my avocados, I can live on them without complaining, so my breakfast entailed toast, avocados, eggs 😋 I dived in to devour before I quickly remember I need to have my breakfast photographed.
Since I arrived earlier I had pictures taken, we met in Mall of Africa by the way, it is the third biggest mall in Africa which is more or less midway point for us to meet.
Beautiful artwork of the African continent above
Quite a big mall, I am yet to walk through the entire mall and I have been there on five or more occasions.
Shops normally open around 09:00 in malls, so most were still closed but getting ready to open when I arrived.
@rynow and @stardust are really beautiful people I must say, time went by so quick, I really enjoyed breakfast with them. I honestly will do it again whenever we all have the chance, rynow interestingly has been on the chain since the days of Steem and even experienced Steem at $8, so he is one for the long term, I notice form his posts he likes cars, it was confirmed he's got love for cars and helps in fixing his son's car...
stardust an educator I could see the passion in her eyes when she spoke about the disable students she teaches, very beautiful to be impacting hope into the lives of disable ones.
Hive brings us together in ways unimagined!
