At this point, we were yet to check into our accommodation in Hokitika. Check-in time is 3 pm, so we planned activities to get us exploring.
We finally arrived at the end of the Hokitika Gorge track, along the way are waterfalls, the closest one to us is the one along the track, you can touch the water, it is a small waterfall path leading to much bigger volume ones.
The first-two photos show the smaller sway bridge from a distance which was the shorter track. Looking at the track it is a loop but the short track is closed and was prohibited to use when I was there.
We all converged at the Gorge that offered beautiful and peaceful scenery, the white rocks, the water body, the green trees, and birds humming all made it a walk worthwhile...
Now, it was time to make the return walk and head to our accommodation check-in.
