This is San Francisco de Asis Square, one of the four colonial squares of Old Havana. Something that usually attracts the attention of those who visit it, besides its beauty, is the large number of pigeons in its surroundings, so much so that it is also known as the square of the pigeons.
These birds are already part of the landscape of the place and do not get scared by people or fly away when one approaches and walks among them. So here I was in a square full of pigeons that did not fly around me. I wanted them to fly so that my photos would be more beautiful, but, although I tried, they stayed calmly on the ground looking for food.
And that's how my photos stayed, surrounded by pigeons that never flew 😅🕊️🤷 although the place is so impressive that this didn't matter so much to me. The important thing was to be able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this magnificent square.
Esta es la plaza de San Francisco de Asís, una de las cuatro plazas coloniales de La Habana Vieja. Algo que suele llamar mucho la atención de quienes la visitan, además de su belleza es la gran cantidad de palomas que hay en sus alrededores, tanto así que también es conocida como la plaza de las palomas.
Estas aves ya forman parte del paisaje del lugar y no sé asustan con las personas ni echan a volar cuando uno se acerca y camina entre ellas. Así que aquí estaba yo en una plaza llena de palomas que no volaban a mi alrededor. Yo quería que volaran para que mis fotos quedaran más bonitas, pero, aunque lo intenté ellas se mantenían tranquilas en el suelo buscando comida.
Y así quedaron mis fotos en esta fantástica plaza, rodeada de palomas que nunca volaron 😅🕊️🤷 aunque el lugar es tan impresionante que esto no me importo tanto. Lo importante fue poder disfrutar de la belleza y la tranquilidad de esta magnífica plaza.
