Pre-pandemic, my husband and I got piso fare tickets from Mactan Cebu to Seoul. It was an opportunity that we made sure we won't miss. We still can't believe that we traveled to three international destinations in the same year. Seoul was the last on the list as we traveled in November. The first was Taipei in March, then Tokyo in July, and finally Seoul in the last quarter.

I made our itinerary and one of the things that we considered was a Discovery Seoul Pass, it came with a free AREX Incheon Airport Express Train One Way Ticket ride which can take us to Seoul. On my notes, it said we have to take the train from Incheon to Gongdeok station then transfer then stop at Jongno 3-ga for our hotel. But when we arrived in Incheon, we were dumbfounded when we figured that the Klook desk was closed! We arrived at around 7:30 PM in the evening.

Anyway, we were still thankful that there was a bus available and so instead of dealing with the frustration, we were just thankful that we can still proceed to our hotel. It was actually better because we can take photos of the city!

There were several skyscrapers along the way, we also saw many of the trees which were already orange and yellow. These maple trees were pretty but we know in a few days, they'll be leafless so we were hopeful that on the next day we can still get photos of them. On our third day in Seoul, it rained and so all of the trees lost their leaves. So, we were blessed to have taken photos of them before that happened.

Anyway, aside from those things, I got to take photos of the random Koreans from the bus. There were several people on the streets, there were lovebirds of course and I got truly interested in taking photos of them while some random Kdrama music playing in my head each time I see a pair! I wonder if it's just me?

One funny thing that happened to us that night was that the bus stop was a little far from our hotel so while we were comfortable in the warm seat inside the bus, we were greeted by the super cold wind as soon as we got down! We have to pull our luggage while our hands were almost freezing! We somehow underestimated the coldness of Seoul!

We reached our hotel safely though but our hands were almost about to give up and my nose too!

bili na sis..hehe

There is so a great quality in your pictures, that I felt like I was traveling and walking there with you. The city is beautiful, it was the night but with the lights, it looks very shiny. My favorite pic is the one with the tree. I find it perfect!

it feels like a Kdrama scene ...

Very interesting. I've always had skewed ideas of what Korea is like due to the netflix dramas that I've watched a fair bit of recently. Mostly the idea that it's full of beautiful people and lots of Pop stars everywhere. This was a nice reminder that they're just normal people like us!

wow, thanks for dropping by! I was hesitant to post photos of random people, I hope this is okay because I have a lot of photos from our Korean travel that I want to share.

We actually have the same notion before, indeed seeing the country in person helps in straightening our view of them.

Lovely photographs, am glad you got the hotel safely. I don't really like cold. Whenever I intend travelling weather of the city is important to check.

thanks dear. it was a bad estimation on my end...
