Oh yes, it's my favorite day of the week! I believe it's the same for everyone, not just me. When I received an invitation to a wedding some weeks ago I was delighted. It is going to be the first wedding I'll attend this year.
So yes, along with my peers, I prepared my attires and ready to rock!
Now whenever I attend a wedding what I basically do is to eat, drink and shake my body to whatever the DJ is playing. However, this one is just different.
It was not extravagant as I thought, simplicity and modesty was plainly written everywhere. To be honest, I was a little disappointed at first. I mean, wedding is a one day thing (hopefully you don't get divorced or death dies not happen). Hence it's supposed to be an elaborate event. For this reason, whenever I see modest wedding my thought is always that the couples don't have enough. Boy how wrong was I!
Well today my perception of wedding seems to be changing, and for the better. Who exactly are we trying to impress with elaborate wedding? The guests? Remember they want a wedding, you want a marriage. Whatever financial situation you find yourself after the event will be your sole responsibility, not anyone's concern.
There's actually a lot more to life after the wedding day, save yourself the extra spending and plan for not just your wedding but your marriage as well.
The couples are both rich, they have lucrative jobs. But you'll think they are bang average seeing their ceremony. They are trying to pass across a message, one that I caught in no time.
This is not to say elaborate wedding is wrong. If you love it go for it. But is it really necessary? You can answer that yourself. As for me, I have been bought over. It will be as simple as it can be. In the meantime, let me devour this tantalizing meal.
Let me apologize for not inviting you to join me, but the food is just too good to be... 😋
Thanks for visiting my blog, do enjoy your weekend the way I am.
