Such a nice bowl of thick and savoury milky broth.
Cripsy fried Tonkatsu Pork cutlet and prawns.
Itadakimasu! Time to tuck into my food!
I was thinking of whether I should go for green tea or coffee. This coconut coffee latte won in the end. :)
Managed to get here before the dinner time crowds arrived. No queues? Yay! :)

It looks like it's going to be a Japanese dinner for me again for the 3rd day in a row. I felt like having some ramen and Tonkatsu after walking around in town and decided to pop into Tampopo, one of the pioneer Japanese restaurants in Singapore. Fun fact, the owner of Tampopo, Mr Takagi, is actually known as the "Father of Tonkatsu" over here. He was the first person who brought tonkatsu out from Japan to Singapore! (and this was all the way back in 1993)
Well, with such solid credentials, I can safely say that I doubt anyone eating here will go off disappointed. This isn't my first rodeo here and I'm a repeat customer, albeit not always at the same branch. I especially love their ramen broth which is really thick and milky.
I ordered a bowl of ramen with added charshu on the side, and of course their tonkatsu too. It wouldn't be right to come here and not order some kind of tonkatsu dish. I picked the pork fillet and prawn version and it came with a perfectly fried exterior with the meats still juicy inside. :)
I left satsified, with my Japanese food cravings satiated for now. I did end up getting a cup of coconut coffee latte from the new Luckin stall which opened nearby (just outside actually). :)
