It was a good day. When the soul and body rest. When the whole human being wakes up after a long winter and feels hope for the best... When you want to create. At the end of March 2021, spring has finally arrived. My friend @nadin-zakrevska invited me for an unusual walk to the famous Lychakiv cemetery. She wanted to take flowers to the grave of her vocal teacher and famous Ukrainian singer Igor Bilozir, who was killed and lived for only 45 years.
I hesitated, because it was already afternoon and knowing myself, I was afraid that by the time I get there, it will be dusk... But still I went and it was reasonable.
Tourists from all over the world come here. This is an open-air museum. It is difficult for me to say how many burials there are in Lychakiv Cemetery, but they say that there are several hundred thousand. Famous figures of Ukrainian culture are buried here, such as writer Ivan Franko, composers Stanislav Lyudkevych, Myroslav Skoryk, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, singer Solomiya Krushelnytska, conductor Mykola Kolessa and many others. Poles come here to honor their heroes and cultural founders. I have been here many times, but the cemetery is so large that every time you can walk in a new place...
How beautiful here! That day my main task was very strange. I was meetting spring in this realm of the dead. The sun gave its first gentle warmth. Peace and philosophical mood reigned in my heart. I remembered my ancestors, who are already there, in the afterlife. And I tried to send them greetings...
To be continued...
