I enjoy seeing Jack rabbits like this one wandering my neighborhood. I don't have any pets so I rely on the outdoor denizens of my area to keep me entertained. These rabbits are always outdoor creatures, they will have a gray coat of fur in the summer and spring months and then turn a solid white in the winter to blend into the snow. I often see them resting on front lawns, usually out of the way. They are nocturnal but do spend some of the mornings and evenings foraging for food, often nibbling away on grass.
