Even if some are luckier than you and are right on the water in the little boat that takes them around the bay.
For those who love the color blue, this is the place. The blue of the sky mirrored in the sea becomes even bluer.
The blue of this wildflower, illuminated by the setting sun and projected against the green background is a different, more earthy blue!
The seaside holiday is the main expectation and gift I get from summer. This summer started earlier than I expected, around mid-May. The effect of global warming. I don't think anyone can say they don't notice global warming anymore. Just as, moreover, nobody knows how this warming will evolve, whether it can be controlled or stopped. Very unlikely to be stopped. In that case, we will have to get used to higher and higher temperatures...
I am lost in thoughts and fears about the future, mine not but my children's and grandchildren's, certainly yes. I just meant that summer started earlier than usual and that fooled me a bit and I went in search of the sea a bit earlier, before the summer season opened. That means that some of what draws us to vacation was not yet ready. I mean terraces, restaurants, promenades. Only a few we found to eat, drink a beer and watch the sea.
Luckily, no tourists were in the resort either, so we did not suffer from the crowds. It was a pleasant time for walks because bathing in the seawater was not. The water was far too cold.
We humans always find something to be unhappy about. Either it's too crowded, and we don't like it, or it's not crowded at all, and we still don't like it.
But I found something that always pleased me. The sea!
