There is a lot to do... As soon as we got back, we started to decorate our classrooms. There were dozens of ideas that popped up in our minds and these are just a few of them. Motivating students and getting their attention are vital for contributing to their learning. Also, I need to be motivated so I can't help myself from buying different kinds of markers and etc.
First of all, to impress the students, we created an interesting bulletin board, which was very effective. Secondly, setting the classroom rules altogether has boosted their sense of responsibility in following the rules. The next one is the panel we use each morning to repeat common phrases. We keep talking about the weather, feelings, their activities on the previous day or their plans for the following days, time and so on. We pick some students to help me during the week. Although it's the first week of school, we have done a lot so far and there are more to come. After preparing something new, I will share it immediately. I hope this post was beneficial for teachers to motivate themselves and their students.
