The series of defenses in a week was quite tiring, yet I have learned that the process was both rewarding and nerve-wracking as a panel member and a thesis adviser in the Graduate school, for students taking up a Master of Education Major in Educational Management and Master of Arts in Secondary Education.
Tripping down memory lane, after a long day of assessing presentations, I decided to unwind at a cozy cafe nearby known as the Vietnam Cafe. Perhaps it is my relaxing haven whenever I need to clear my mind and recharge after the academic grind.
I have mentioned even before that there is something in this place that was extra special due to its unique Vietnam ambiance, not to mention that the owner of the store is a Filipino who worked in Vietnam and established a cafe here, bringing the taste and culture of the wonderful city.
The minimal decor, along with its accents and cozy lighting, made me relaxed for a moment. I chose the most comfortable table and while sitting there, I took a moment to be idle for a while as I took a selfie too when I got my watermelon cucumber lemonade.
Perhaps I will be back at my favorite corner soon, sipping not only my favorite lemonade but a Vietnamese coffee and savoring the calm in Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines.
