A few days ago, after the farmers had harvested the rice, the summer had started and the irrigation of the rice fields had dried up, but the farmers in my village had started planting spinach in their own dry rice fields. This season's rice harvest is not profitable for farmers because the results obtained are much less than the previous rice harvest, this is due to the emergence of negative impacts in our rice fields which pose a serious threat to farmers in my village. One of them is the emergence of plant pests in rice and also rats that are very much wandering in the rice fields.
Have a cohesiveness that will continue and use this idea for rice field gardening, in this summer it is very good to start a new business, such as planting spinach plants, I think this is the perfect choice as a farmer who will continue another business from the rice harvest in a few days which was unsatisfactory. However, not everyone in my village has followed this step, and some of them, like one of the farmers I photographed, have started by planting spinach plants which will be the next crop this summer.
Although the price of spinach leaves in my place is not too high, we as village farmers continue this activity. Activities like this will be continued until the next rainy season and the irrigation of the rice fields begins to improve and has sufficient water.
The results of the spinach harvested today are sufficient for consumption by a family of farmers, and some also buy a few bunches of spinach that have been harvested and the person who buys it directly picks them.
However, this farmer's rice field has already produced spinach and some of the area has not yet grown because the spinach is planted not directly. Spinach harvested today is spinach that is planted earlier after the rice has been harvested.
