Tuve la oportunidad de tomarle la fotografía muy de cerca a esta Mariposa Búho o Calijo.
Su tamaño era bastante grande, aproximadamente unas 2 pulgadas y el interior de sus alas era de color azulado.
A pesar de que le toque el borde de las alas con un palillo, la mariposa no mantuvo sus alas abiertas, solo las abría y cerraba rápidamente.
Espero disfruten este bello ejemplar que se posó en un banano a descansar.
I had the opportunity to take a very close up picture of this Owl Butterfly or Calijo.
Its size was quite large, about 2 inches, and the inside of its wings were bluish in color.
Even though I touched the edge of the wings with a toothpick, the butterfly did not keep its wings open, it just opened and closed them quickly.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful specimen that landed on a banana tree to rest.
