Geckos in the Palace of the Grand Master (Rhodes)

Some geckos that live (lived?) in the Palace of the Grand Master (of the Knights of Rhodes).

These pictures were taken round about ten years ago on a trip to Rhodes.

Since the geckos are very shy and fast, it was difficult to catch them closer. But their beautiful texture is still quite visible.

This is my entry for the #POBPhotocontest from @friendlymoose.

Unfortunately, I don't have larger pictures in which only the texture of the geckos can be seen, but they are nevertheless pretty to look at. I hope you like them anyway and many thanks at this point to @friendlymoose for the great contest.

Nice photo of a geckos we have a lot of geckos here though its hard to take photos of them as they afraid of humans.

I like those little guys. Here where I live, we only have lizards and they are very rare. I stumble upon one of them in the forest maybe once or twice per year, which is a little sad because I love watching them 😉
