There is a park in METU called the Science and Technology Museum. In addition to a few museum buildings, old airplanes and an old train are also exhibited in the open air area. What you see in the photos consists of cars that are kept idle at the back border of the museum grounds.
Among these cars, there are brands such as old-style wolkswagen, ford, and chevrolet. These cars, which have been standing here for years, are almost integrated with nature, and some of them even have grass coming out of them.
This shabby image is attracting a lot of attention on campus. One of the things most preferred by students in graduation photo shoots is to stand on a scrap wolksvage and pose.
I do not know exactly why the vehicles were kept here, but I think that these remaining cars were left on the land because other similar vehicles were exhibited in the museum building. And this situation has led to a very interesting scene, there is no doubt about it. :)
ODTÜ'de bilim ve teknoloji müzesi adı altında bir park var. Burada birkaç müze binasının dışında açıkhava alanında da eski uçaklar, eski bir tren de sergileniyor. Fotoğraflarda gördükleriniz ise müze arazisinin arka sınırında atıl durumda bekletilen arabalardan oluşuyor.
Bu arabaların arasında eski tip wolkswagen, ford, chevrolet gibi markalar var. Yıllardır burada duran bu arabalar adeta doğayla bütünleşmiş durumda, hatta bazılarının içinden dışarıya doğru otlar fışkırıyor.
Bu pejmürde görüntü kampüste oldukça çok ilgi çekiyor. Mezuniyet fotoğrafı çekimlerinde öğrencilerin en çok tercih ettiği şeylerden birisi hurda bir wolksvagenin üzerine çıkıp poz vermek oluyor.
Araçların neden burada bekletildiğini tam olarak bilemiyorum fakat müze binasının içinde benzer tipte başka araçlar da sergilendiği için kalan bu otomobillerin araziye bırakıldığını düşünüyorum. Ve bu durum çok ilginç bir manzaraya sebep olmuş, buna kuşku yok. :)
