Kraków,
2023 the 7th of Octopus.
After working myself through the various posts of our MeetUp, and after a long write and a long ride after a long ride, I finally made it. Explanatory note: Berlin – Kraków – Berlin - Bodensee = All by car.
Lluna and I, walking a new city I've never been before, to meet a legend who put the spark of the meeting @HiveBeeCon in Kraków. The date was fixed and all well-organised. Though the idea was obvious. Taking all of us into the abyss of an old salt mine in exile? Come on. I know the rumours of the misty mountains cold. I was prepared for the skirmish. LFG! The last minutes died out, and we still were wandering around in search of the entrance to the dark and deep. But we were already spotted, from far distance. Lenses sparkled unerringly through the crowd, aiming towards us. There he was. Robed in black. Long hair tied in a ponytail. The legend of Hive. The very nice, humble and only G, alias @gtg.
It was my second encounter with that lovely character and I enjoyed it, spending time and chat with him. Open to most topics and always to have for a good laugh. Thanks for the spark wiz 🖖🏽
And right after that, I could get the personification of @mipiano. Right next to her left was @ph1102. And here a fantastic connection begun. First time in flesh and blood. He's a lovely and funny guy. Many interactions happened through mipiano, Lluna and me in the past. I was curious, if she is also that delightful in person. Yes, she's. Always helpful and we had pleasant chats. I felt very comfortable and so natural with both of them. They brought another, new character in that game, named @edje. We spent the most time together from all of that MeetUp.
Similar, exceptional it was the second time we met @delishtreats and her husband – who is a nonhiver, how boring and superfluous, I know. But no! Not at all. I loved the chats with him so much. Martina and Stefan are amazing.
@livinguktaiwan and Simon, don't know if he is on Hive actually, but I enjoyed chatting with him. And meeting LUT again was great.
But what else can I tell you? So many things have been shared already from the previous posts that we could create a blueprint of Kraków and the attendees out of it. Nha, not quite.
Rather stay tuned and join the next @hivebeecon as it was the first, which means plenty of them will follow.
Maybe a few thing I can share! We found cauliflower in Wieliczka. Confirm by yourself.

Besides that, we have a new pin on our globe. That pin is the KBK (@krolestwo). A place to be if you travel close by or want to explore. It's a fantastic place to connect with others. Thank you, @hallmann.
The only photo I made of the location was the door, which I don't share here 😉 I was immersed into many chats and peeps, and the environment that taking photos of evidence simply got lost. Therefore, my memory of that oeuvre, the Battle of Grunwald, by Jan Matejko, is vivid. It was hanging, bigger than anything else, in the middle of a wall.
I realised that I didn't get to meet all the attendees.
