Did you hear about what happened this past weekend?
There was a meeting, yes… the @hivebeecon! Most of the hivers that assisted in the meeting were making some noise in the platform in order to get as many peeps as possible… and it seems that all together… made it happen!
The great idea.. can I say it?? Was from @gtg to make a gathering in Krakow this last weekend, it ended up being a great success…
We got to meet faces that we met at the Amsterdam Hive Fest last year, but we also put faces to some users that we have been following for months now, as well as some new hivers.
Believe me, when @growandbow told me to go to Krakow in between travels, I was totally in, but also a bit worried about how we were going to manage to do everything… in the end, it was totally worth it!
When I say more than a gathering, I mean it. It is not just people meeting and exchanging… it is to feel home within each other’s conversations, it is the curiosity of understanding where others “come from” and where you meet in the middle. It was also a great exchange of cultures..

What I love the most about this encounter is not just meeting the people behind the screens, it is how genuine the conversations are between us.
We are there to listen, to learn, to exchange.. and from my point of view, with no pretensions.

For those who are curious for more… here I come with my version of what we did.
@growandbow and I, drove from Berlin Friday night, to be at the salt mine Wieliczka in Krakow at 10:30
Still hard to believe, but we made it, and we could be around and awake the whole day.
The first one we meet, this tall guy, long hair, with a HIVE vest.. who could that be? the great @gtg!! There, gathering the peeps, all so correct and organised (😜) was lovely meeting you again.
Immediately, I was SO HAPPY to have met @mipiano and @ph1102 in person finally, the hug with her felt as if we met before and made me feel so home! As well as with @ph1102 that it took me some time to connect him with his account 😅 Mazin had to help me with this :P
The mine was interesting, I didn’t believe the guide when she told us that we were going to go down more than 300 steps. Not only was true, I have to say that I enjoyed the guide and her sas during the whole tour.

The thing in the mine that mesmerised me the most was the story of the three brothers who carved all this figures below and how they NEVER worked together! Once one of them wasn’t able to work, then the other would take his place.
I don’t know if you can appreciate it in the photo, but the depth of the sculptures was amazing.

For lunch we sat next to @blindspot and @priyanarc and @mipiano, @ph1102 , between crepes and chats, we ended up having some exchanges (sometimes quite intense) about what’s happening today in the world…
Through all the topics, always enjoying the diversity of cultures that we are part of.
The more the day passed by, the more we could connect with other Hiveans!

How good it was to share real moments with @livinguktaiwan, @delishtreats and her husband, @zirochka, @edje … every exchange felt short but it opened a vast of opportunities for next encounters.
I was also gladly updated and put into context of Hive history with @lemonycricket and @m31, some time it was so much information and so new for me that I was concerned if I would remember it all! I’m very grateful for your patience.
Later at the kingdom (@krolestwo), I got to know @hallmann and heard in person about the project that is on the go behing this charming place.

Later on, I met another Spanish speaking person from the community! The gorgeous @evelynchacin and her coming baby :) after that, I got lost on chats with @phortun and @deepresearch really nice guys!
The most expected surprise of the night… I had the luck to sit on the first raw on the concert of @mipiano, not just that I enjoyed a lot, but I wished she would have played more and more! It was so pleasant to see, hear and feel the years of expertise and mastering of the piano.. thank you 🙏🏽
Unfortunately, we left the event earlier than wished since we had a long journey, but Sunday we met again and shared more stories.
Lunch was at Veganic resturant with many hivers that stayed one day more ( I have to say that Mazin and I loved it so much that we went again in the evening 🤭)
Quite chill days Sunday and Monday, since was quite cold. We finished our stay meeting again @mipiano, @ph1102 and @edje and sharing some nice food and amazing drinks :P
