Today was set-up day for our second Holiday show of this year's season!
The Alchemy Stones vendor table at the end of set-up today
This time around, we are doing the Festival of Lights Show at our local Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center.
The event is a combination of psychic and tarot readings in one part of the building, with a vendor sales area with holiday gifts in a different space.
A look into the main hall, all decorated and ready!
In this particular event, I will be taking care of the Alchemy Stones sales table, while my wife will be doing Tarot readings in the nearby area.
The actual open-to-the-public part of the show happens on Friday and Saturday, where we will be "in attendance" from 10:00am till 5:00pm each day.
I like these kinds of local shows because they usually are fairly laid-back, and we tend to have a more leisurely set-up time, typically the day before the actual event opens. Also, this particular event gives us Sunday off, because the great hall has to be "reset" for Sunday Services.
Basket of stones
Because it is a limited space venue, my display had to sized down to be a single 6-foot table and whatever I could put on there so that's what I had to work with, as far as bringing items to sell.
We have participated in this show in years past, both before Covid and after Covid, and it has usually been a nice kickoff event for our season. This year, of course, it's the second event on our show schedule.
Table is located in a wide hallway between the main hall and the Tarot readers, which is actually a great location because a lot of people pass by.
I actually get to have my table next to some dear friends we know not only from the "Show Circuit," but also privately. I'll be nice to have a friendly face nearby!
In many ways, this will be a nice "practice run" for next weekend's event, which is the biggest and most important show we attend on the arts and crafts schedule... and when that show goes well, it often can "make" our year!
As per usual, I will attempt to do a more or less "live update" post tomorrow or Saturday... but no promises; the building has weird electrical "noise" that tends to block cell reception.
I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
Thank You!
