Ways to control anxiety

Since I was in school, as a teenager, I have always been an impatient person, the type that always thinks too much about the consequences of every action, living off what people say, avoiding problems and a big list of other things. A couple of years later, I realized by watching confessions of other people through social media that there were high chances that I suffer from anxiety as well, because I was going through 9 of 10 things of what they were saying. It was very hard to accept it, I always got an excuse to deny, but in the end, it was something very obvious that was happening to me.

Anxiety is something that most of the people in the world are suffering, and not all talk about, probably because they don’t know, they don’t accept it like me or just don’t want to tell it to anybody because they feel ashamed of it. The point is, anxiety is in the life of many people, but for security we keep it to ourselves, and for the long run, it isn’t good for our mental and physical health.

But after all those years struggling with it (very hard years let me tell you) finally I found a way to keep control of my thoughts, avoid bad feelings, and feel okay at the end of the day.

This is something that at the beginning could be a little bit hard if you are a lazy person, but the truth is that everyone can do it if they engage in it and do it every day. You would see changes in your way of thinking, your body and after a couple of months changes in how people see you, it’s something that is worth trying.

Keep your mind busy

Exercise, write, watch a movie, practice something new, there is always something to do, if you want to sleep, do it, if you are hungry search for a recipe on YouTube and cook it, but do whatever it needs to keep your mind busy.

Bad thoughts come to your mind when you have time to think about them, so don’t let that happen. After a couple of weeks, even days, you will see the change.

People in your social circle

This is the hardest part to control, because you can’t force people to be your friend, that's up to your attitude. Your health always has to depend on you, nobody else, your decisions, your thoughts, your problems. But it is a great plus having friends that give you that impulse to be better, to do things you normally don’t do, take risks, that kind of person helps a lot during the process.

But first, learn to live your life alone, never leave your emotions to someone else, because that bag depends on you, at the end is your life.

Living with anxiety is the hardest thing ever, but there are many ways to control it. People around the world are dealing with it and using their own methods to control it, if it wasn’t like that, vaping wouldn’t be so popular.

I have been more than 2 months implementing this advice and I can’t deny I feel better than ever.
