Alive in the Quiet Moments

For today's episode of gratitude is my profound appreciation for silence. I love silence—the beautiful art when all sound halts, leaving the room filled with air and pure energy. I find it extremely difficult to exist alongside people who don’t appreciate silence or at least lean towards it. As someone who gets easily overstimulated, I am grateful for the simple concept of quiet.

Silence is more than just the absence of noise; on a deeper level, it is a sanctuary—a place where my mind can breathe and my spirit feels at ease. In this stillness, I can hear myself the loudest, reconnecting with parts of me often lost in the chaos of sound and activity.

I always look forward to nighttime because that’s when the world retires, and I come alive. I cherish those moments when the world feels paused—no honking cars, no kids yelling or playing football outside—just the soft hum of existence.

Some people consider silence awkward, especially when spending time with someone, but for me, it isn’t. There’s no need to fill the room with words. Silence doesn’t mean the vibe is dead. In fact, it’s very much alive, filled with possibilities. It removes the edginess and pressure, allowing you to simply be.

To anyone who hasn’t embraced the beauty of silence, I invite you to try. Step away from the noise, even for a moment. You might discover something beautiful hidden within the quiet. Of course, I understand that for some, silence can feel maddening—so, to each their own.

Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
