En esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles un pedacito de que debo enfrentar todos los días en mi trabajo, y digo enfrentar porque no en todos los casos es placentera la visita (Ya sabrán a que me refiero).
Trabajo como personal administrativo en un parque recreacional y por lo tanto al estar tantas horas en un espacio natural trabajando, es inevitable que cosas interesantes me lleguen a pasar, entre estas tener contacto con la fauna que transita y alguna que esta establecida en este ambiente protegido y a pesar de que no sean tan exóticas las especies, de igual manera podemos llevarnos una q otra sorpresa, de hecho para aquellos compañeros de hive que ya visitaron este increíble parque como lo es el Parque Guaiqueri ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Cumana-Estado Sucre en Venezuela quizá luego del presente post no lo verán de la misma manera y tendrán un poco mas de cuidado cuando estén realizando sus paseos 😅.
In this opportunity I want to show you a little bit of what I have to face every day in my job, and I say face because not in all cases the visit is pleasant (you will know what I mean).
I work as administrative staff in a recreational park and therefore to be so many hours in a natural space working, it is inevitable that interesting things happen to me, among these have contact with the wildlife that transits and some that is established in this protected environment and although they are not so exotic species, In fact for those hive companions who have already visited this incredible park as Guaiqueri Park located in the center of the city of Cumana-State of Sucre in Venezuela, maybe after this post they will not see it in the same way and will be a little more careful when they are doing their walks 😅.
Me gustaría iniciar desde los animales mas comunes, es decir, los que nos podemos encontrar con facilidad, hasta los mas extraños y que estoy seguro que algunos visitantes del parque no quisieran encontrarse nunca o por lo menos no tenerlos tan de cerca.
I would like to start from the most common animals, that is, those that we can find easily, to the strangest and that I am sure that some park visitors would never want to meet or at least not have them so close.
En primer lugar tenemos a las iguanas, un animal muy común de ver deambulando en los alrededores del parque, son un animal a mi parecer muy interesante por su apariencia tan prehistórica. Quizás pueda no llegar a impresionar a muchos pero les aseguro que no es lo mismo fotografías que estar cerca de estos esplendidos animales.
Dentro de lo que cabe son muy simpáticas, suelen salir a las primeras horas de la mañana y horas del mediodía a tomar sol, se les puede ver bajando de los arboles y reunidas en grupo casi que colocándose en una posición de yoga mirando al sol y quedándose inmóviles. Como dato extra son muy difíciles para tomarles una fotografía ya que al ver personas cerca entran en estado de alerta y a cualquier movimiento corren y es imposible alcanzarlas.
First we have the iguanas, a very common animal to see wandering around the park, they are a very interesting animal in my opinion because of their prehistoric appearance. Perhaps it may not impress many but I assure you that it is not the same photographs as being close to these splendid animals.
They are very friendly, they usually come out in the early morning and midday hours to sunbathe, you can see them coming down from the trees and gathered in a group almost in a yoga position looking at the sun and staying still. As a bonus, they are very difficult to take a picture of because when they see people nearby they become alert and at any movement they run and it is impossible to reach them.
Y es aquí cuando comenzamos a escalar de nivel en cuanto animales a los cuales no tenemos la fortuna de ver tan a menudo o al menos no tan de cerca, en mi caso me siento un poco afortunado de poder disfrutar de la presencia de estos seres vivos con los cuales compartimos el vivir en el planeta aunque ya les adelante que al ser una institución dedicado a la preservación de la flora y la fauna, en muchas ocasiones las historias no son del todo color de rosa y precisamente el animal que les muestro a continuación tiene relación con esto. Para no hacerles el cuento tan largo y hablarles de un tema que no es mi campo ya que soy mas un personal de oficina, esta ave que ven en la fotografía es de la familia de los gavilanes que si mal no recuerdo es conocido por el nombre "Cari Care", el que ven en la fotografía es un pichón ademas de estar en malas condiciones debido a que fue rescatado de una persona indigente que lo tenia atado de una pata con poco libertad.
A pesar de la situación fue increíble el poder tener esta especie de ave tan cerca y poder detallar su fisionomía la cual es muy interesante.
And it is here when we begin to climb a level in terms of animals which we do not have the fortune to see so often or at least not so close, in my case I feel a little lucky to enjoy the presence of these living beings with whom we share living on the planet although I already tell you that being an institution dedicated to the preservation of flora and fauna, in many cases the stories are not all rosy and precisely the animal that I show you below is related to this. To not make the story so long and talk about a subject that is not my field since I am more of an office staff, this bird you see in the picture is of the family of hawks that if I remember correctly is known by the name “Cari Care”, the one you see in the picture is a pigeon besides being in poor condition because it was rescued from a homeless person who had it tied by a leg with little freedom.
In spite of the situation it was incredible to be able to have this species of bird so close and to be able to detail its physiognomy which is very interesting.
Ya les compartí animales terrestres, animales aéreos, asi que es momento de uno acuático, aunque ya les adelanto que son super rápidas en tierra y que nos podría engañar a muchos por solo escuchar su nombre, les hablo de una tortuga la cual tiene su historia en particular una mañana (Como la gran mayoría de casos en el parque 😂) en donde fue una gran sorpresa para el personal de limpieza encontrarse a este interesante animalito.
I already shared with you land animals, aerial animals, so it's time for an aquatic one, although I already told you that they are super fast on land and could fool many of us just by hearing their name, I'm talking about a turtle which has its own particular story one morning (like most cases in the park 😂) where it was a big surprise for the cleaning staff to find this interesting little animal.
Su especie no sabría decírselas con exactitud pero indagando un poco y escuchando un poco a compañeros conocedores de la materia, se podría tratar de una tortuga "Arrau", la cual si estoy en lo cierto se encuentra en peligro de extinción, asi que para mi fue un privilegio al igual que en los anteriores casos poder ver a majestuoso animal.
I couldn't tell you the exact species, but after some research and listening to some knowledgeable colleagues, it could be an “Arrau” turtle, which if I am right is in danger of extinction, so for me it was a privilege as in the previous cases to see this majestic animal.
Como pueden ver en este post queda en evidencia que mi día a día en el trabajo es una lotería, no se lo que me pueda encontrar cada día o a que situaciones como estas me tendré que enfrentar. Por supuesto que todo no puede ser alegria, tranquilidad y belleza....Tambien están sus casos tensos, aquellos animales que no será muy placentero el tener tan de cerca, y es aquí donde les presento al ultimo animal de la lista, uno que quizás han visto en sus casas pero no de la misma especie que aquí les mostrare. Se trata de la tan querida araña, uno que ha pesar de ser muy interesante a su vez siembra terror en muchos (Incluyéndome 😅) y la historia detrás de esta fotografía seria el sueño de cualquier trabajador un lunes por la mañana, salir de tu casa con toda la flojera del mundo, saber que quizás debas pasar horas y horas de trabajo duro, pero de repente en las puertas de tu oficina se encuentra una linda y querida araña y no solo una araña sino una muy peligrosa en particular ya que se trataba de una tarántula 🙂🙃, si, asi como lo leen, eso fue lo primero que tuve que ver a primeras horas de la mañana al llegar al trabajo, no todo es color de rosa al trabajar prácticamente adentrado en tanta naturaleza, imagino que esto lo vivieran aquellas personas que viven en el campo.
As you can see in this post it is evident that my day to day life at work is a lottery, I don't know what I will find every day or what situations like these I will have to face. This is the much loved spider, one that has despite being very interesting in turn sows terror in many (Including me 😅) and the story behind this photograph would be the dream of any worker on a Monday morning, leave your house with all the laziness in the world, knowing that you may have to spend hours and hours of hard work, But suddenly, at the doors of your office, you find a beautiful and beloved spider, and not only a spider, but a very dangerous one in particular, since it was a tarantula 🙂🙃, yes, just as you read it, that was the first thing I had to see in the early hours of the morning when I got to work. Not everything is rosy when working practically in the middle of nature, I imagine that this is what those people who live in the countryside experienced.
Lo espectacular de la situación es que al ser un ente protector de la naturaleza no podemos tomar la misma acción que cualquiera de los que lee este post hubiese tomado, de tuvo que capturar la araña y ser trasladada a otro ente encargado de tratar y buscar el mejor destino para todas y cada una de estas visitas que solo recibir.
The spectacular thing about the situation is that since we are an entity protecting nature, we cannot take the same action that anyone reading this post would have taken, of having to capture the spider and transfer it to another entity in charge of dealing with and finding the best destination for each and every one of these visitors that we only receive.
Asi como estas hay algunas que no tienen evidencia fotográfica, desde serpientes, alacranes y pare de contar, como comprenderán no soy un turista o un visitante mas del parque que puede tener la oportunidad de tomar fotografías con mas libertad, debo mantener la imagen como empleado de la institución y no debo hacerme selfies con los animales mientras nos encontramos en protocolos de captura y traslado de los mismos 🤣.
As well as these there are some that do not have photographic evidence, from snakes, scorpions and stop counting, as you understand I am not a tourist or a visitor to the park that can have the opportunity to take pictures with more freedom, I must maintain the image as an employee of the institution and I should not take selfies with animals while we are in protocols of capture and transfer of the same 🤣.
De esta manera me despido no sin antes dejarles un mensaje que quizás lo han oído al menos una vez y es que debemos cuidar el ambiente, piensen que futuras generaciones perderán la oportunidad de vivir estas experiencias que vivimos nosotros, poder disfrutar de animales en su ambiente y no solo tener que conformarnos con ver una fotografía, ellos representan parte fundamental en el equilibrio del ecosistema del cual nosotros dependemos y que no le damos mucha importancia porque no lo vemos, desconocemos o simplemente no nos interesa, aunque suene muy rudo es la realidad de muchos. Asi que seamos promotores de este mensaje sin necesidad de pertenecer a ninguna institución. Un papel representa menos peso en nuestro bolsillo que en el ambiente, Hasta otra oportunidad queridos Hivers!!!.
