Summer is HERE!!!
This past month I was quite a busybee. Between the deadlines of the projects that I had to hand in and the exams of my students (I work as a tutor) there was no free time. But since yesterday everything was set on track and so, my partner and I decided to go out on a date.
Αnd where could we find a better place for our date if not by the sea?
We are fortunately lucky and we live near the sea (about 15-20 minutes away by car), so whenever we have time we hop in the car and make short escapes to the seaside.
But yesterday we did not go for a swim, but to enjoy the view of the sea and the sky, the light blue, and perhaps the taste of a cocktail at a beach bar.
Although it was getting dark, the sky had these beautiful colors of sunset, the red and pink that dyes the clouds and makes them look like candy floss, so sweet.
Fortunately for us the bar did not have many customers yet, and it was quiet. All that could be heard was the wave that gently erupted on the beach.
And what goes perfect next to the seaside? A cocktail to quench your thirst and take you far, far far, away to more exotic places. Personally, I have a liking in rum based cocktails with lots and lots of lime, so -as you can see in the photos- I chose a mojito for me, where my partner had a caipirinha for himself (and of course I tried his, in order to see if it was ok).
And even though we were both quite tired from all the workload of the week, this date gave us the opportunity to relax and have some time for ourselves, to enjoy the view and plan the summer holiday. So far, we have thought of going to a small greek island (like Amorgos) or perhaps go abroad to a nearby Balkan country (perhaps Serbia this time). Or if we have the time, maybe we shall do both. Who can stay afar from the beautiful Greek beaches?
So, we got Greek Summer mode ON, planning our vacation, over a refreshing cocktail, next to the seas.
Can't wait for vacation to begin, for real!
