It happened on Saturday. My husband worked on one of the minivan's parts, and he found something wrong. To address the concern, he ordered a portable welding machine using the online shopping application. Despite the price of the machine, he convinced me that it was very important since we used the minivan daily. Usually, the orders from the application will arrive within a week. When it arrived, he immediately attended to the concern. The part of the minivan that had a concern was called a muffler. I don't know so much about it but one thing for sure, it is important to an automobile.
Well, he knew how to use the welding machine because he had finished a vocational course about welding. The one that he finished studying was different from the one that he used on that day.
He woke up early and operated the muffler. But since he was so excited to work on the parts, he forgot to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for his body. He just focused on covering his face since it was part of his order and it was the right thing to do.
When he finished his work, he experienced itchiness in his body and his skin turned red. Then he realized he experienced sunburn from the remnants of the rod, the heat from the machine, and when he used the grinding machine. He was so confident that nothing would happen during his job until he learned how important it is to wear personal protective equipment.
No matter how confident you are, prevention is better than cure. He experienced the sunburn within a week and he was irritated during this time. Good thing that he was healed now.
I hope you will not follow what my husband did.
