There was still some weather floating around yesterday morning before dawn but it had turned to rain with the storm passing. Our month to date is 3.68" of rain and the normal is 2.17" which is the wettest November in the 5 years I've been keeping rainfall records for the farm, and we still have more weather coming.
It was the last day of the week long PDC tourney which saw Lukeman go against Littler in the final and Luke ended up winning.
The snow was still around at dawn but as it came up the temps warmed and the snow was soon melting away.
Littler had to work hard to come back against Anderson but just squeaked by to go to the final.
The quickly vanishing snow remnants.
A bit of time at the board mid morning and again refined my grip which is allowing me better aim at the lower triples.
We were out of the house on time and headed for town to be to Ninja Nation early. Within about 20 minutes though there was a MASS of kids and parents all milling about.
We wended up with I think 25 kids in total with many siblings. We had a host who helped with the setup and then took the kids out around the obstacles.
R was doing flips onto a mat and I managed to catch him perfectly in the air. Normally my phone camera is shit at fast shots but I timed this right for once.
The place is good sized and there was room for everyone to spread out a bit and the parents all chatted while the kids all had a super good time.
They got about 40 minutes of free running the obstacles before we gathered for a big group photo op.
We had pizzas delivered and thankfully @stryeyz grabbed chips and veggie trays earlier as they were devoured pretty quickly.
This is the biggest birthday party the boys have ever had, well really the only real party, so in a way it is making up for the past few years for each.
We got cupcakes which is just so much easier than cake, and both boys had to cram their candles atop each... 11 candles was a bit much on J's...
Nancy got a picture of us at the end and J had his stoic look on. It was about 3:10 or so and we were packed up and heading for the car to head for home.
After the quick unloading of he car the boys were instantly digging into their gifts. R went through fits with the r/c car because he was pushing one button on the remote which makes one side go but refused to try the other button which makes the other side move. I finally showed him how it worked and he calmed down and then had a blast with it.
The Seahawks game was on the radio as we drove home and they were actually surprisingly close in score. We walked into the house to find them down by 4 points in the 4th quarter.
The weather wasn't yet done and the evening saw a good bit of rain come down. I opened the door at one point to hear the rain pounding really hard on the carport.
In a miracle the Hawks won with a last second touchdown by Smith. The betting odds were WAY WAY off on this game... Lol.
The Kraken had another home game and it was going okay for a while but then they got spanked.
The downpour came in a few waves in what seemed like the backside of the system before moving off for the night.
Sucks the Kraken lost to the Rangers since NY has been pretty shitty lately.
Got a half hour soak in before going in for much needed sleep. That was one of the busiest weekends we have had in a long time and SO SO many people. Between the sold out arena hockey game and the mass of kids we were both wrecked.
Today is the calm before the bomb cyclone storm hits in a couple days and we are to get high winds, heavy rains, and snow... I need to keep working on the wood both cutting and moving, get boys to school this morning, J's laptop should be shipping today to be here for his birthday on Wednesday, I found the 3d printer I plan on getting, and I really should work on the electrical and ethernet cable to the greenhouse before all this insane weather hits and makes it rather hard to do.
