Something I failed to understand in the past was that, everything matters, I thought it was only the things i want at a very moment that's precious, meanwhile, more and more things are precious, it just on the time we needs them. I have stops living that way, because, I've had such realization before, and it was not profiting.
Speaking of in those days, I was fond of making fire from matches box, even when I know I will still needs the matches to light a fire on my stove, so on this very day, I was playing with the matches and to some extent, I could not redraw myself from the play, it was so interesting, seeing how the matches sticks burns from the head part to the down, some of the matches sticks, I would hold it, till it burnt totally.
So, I was playing the game and it gets to the night time, I didn't know, it was the last matches box I have at home that I was using to play, then, after I have finished the game, by that time, no single matches stick was left in the matches box, I was feeling hungry and I get inside the kitchen to light my stove, so that I can cook, but i find out that, no other matches box were in the kitchen except the one I've just burnt in the play, and shops were close because it was night.
I didn't have a lighter in the house either, not this time, that lighter are common, by then, it wasn't easy to see a lighter and anyone who have a lighters at home, must be an Oga, or someone coming back from the city. I knocked for my neighbor and she gave me her matches box, and then I was able to light my stove and I find something to cook and eat.
What occur was that, I neglect the matches, because, they are always many matches sticks on the inside, and I didn't value it, because if I do, I wouldn't have waste it, that was a costly kind of play, lighting matches sticks that should be used when cooking, all in the means of fun game is a waste.
So, from that night, I stop neglecting matches, because, everything are precious, you might called them common, because there are always accessible to you, but, by the time, you look for it, and it is not accessible, the lessons would better be learnt.
Some people neglect the person's who love them, because they are always available to them, Love who loves you, don't wait untill he/she leaves, before you realize how important was their presence to you.
