Our first trip to Boracay Island as a family was nothing short of magical. It was Zadie’s first time experiencing the thrill of land and boat transfers all in one day. Her excitement was contagious as she eagerly anticipated the adventure ahead, made even more special because we were joined by my barkada and their kids. It was a true bonding trip for everyone.

The journey started with an early morning flight. Even though Zadie had flown before, her curiosity about airplanes was still evident as she eagerly gazed out the window during takeoff. Her eyes sparkled with wonder as she asked endless questions about the clouds and how planes fly. Upon landing, we had booked our land transfer via Klook and opted for a hop-on hop-off shuttle bus. Zadie couldn’t stop talking about what she saw outside the window – rice fields, hills, and the occasional glimpse of the sea.

Finally, the short boat ride to Boracay was the highlight of her day. The sight of the turquoise waters and the cool sea breeze made her giggle with joy.
Upon arriving at our resort, we were greeted with warm smiles and refreshing drinks. Zadie quickly made friends with the other kids, and they wasted no time exploring the white sand beach together. Watching her run barefoot on the powdery sand, building sandcastles, and collecting shells was heartwarming.

It was a reminder of how precious these moments are, especially at her age when everything feels like an adventure.
For our first dinner, we decided to enjoy a casual meal by the beach. The kids played in the sand while the adults reminisced and caught up on life. The sound of the waves and the laughter of the children made for a perfect evening.
As the day came to an end, we tucked Zadie into bed, her cheeks rosy from the sun and her heart full of happiness. It was a wonderful start to our Boracay getaway, and we couldn’t wait for what the next day would bring. Keep updated on the rest of our Boracay itineraries as we’ll be staying for 4 days and 3 nights!
