Appreciate the brilliance of EVERY genuine content creator.

in #hive-1484412 years ago

A few years ago, the internet was just a place for people to hang out with friends and strangers alike, read funny comments, post dolled up pictures and wait for people's reactions to those pictures. I can still recall when my secondary school classmates will ask stuff like;

Did you see the picture I posted on Facebook? Please like the picture.

Haha. Interesting, right? It's really interesting to see how things have been changing since then. We got to a stage where comedy skits became the trend. Content Creators have eyes for opportunities so, a lot of people started creating such skits.

We netizens can't complain, right? We also didn't mind burning our internet subscription on those comedy skits. You could see people being part of the joke and laughing their heads off. That is how the progression continued till we reached this stage. A stage where you and I can have control of our content and also earn from it.

This is the modern world we are enjoying due to the internet and netizens are ready to capitalize on it and make the best of this opportunity.

Take content creation in a Blockchain setting for an example;

Do you know the number of people that are publishing posts in this place? What about the number of new accounts that are created daily? Do you have an idea of how hard these lads and ladies have to work to learn the nitty-gritty of surviving and subsequently excelling in a blockchain setting?

I believe we have professional writers on the chain. We have people who have written e-books and we have people that would likely go punch for punch with Shakespeare when it comes to their diction. On the other hand, we have people who are still struggling with sentence construction. There are people on the chain who can't write decent content to save their life, yet they are still here and (hopefully) trying to learn and improve their writing skills.

To make this more simplified, let's just say that we have pros and novices on the blockchain. Let's assume that each of these people are trying to do their best, do you think it's wise for any of them to be subjected to hate or undue criticism?

If you are being smeary or judgemental or anything aside from simply appreciating the brilliance of EVERY genuine content creator on this Blockchain, you do not get it.

Being genuine and eager to learn sums up every quality I want in a content Creator on the blockchain. Trust me, it's not hard to see when someone is ready to learn the ropes. You can sniff such people out from a mile away. The way they ask questions, the way they react to corrections and the way they apply what they learn in their activities on the blockchain will surely speak for themselves.

We all have to face the fact. That fact is that we are in the danger of losing talented writers whenever we attack their shortcomings instead of offering a guideline and giving them corrections.

Remember, we have all the nuts and bolts needed to polish our post

  • Canva is there for editing your image and adding catchphrases to such an image.

  • Pexels, Unsplash, Wikimedia, and pixabay are among the sites that offer images that can be used on your post without any copyright infringement.

  • Grammarly can be used to check common errors in your spelling and sentence structure.

  • If you are doubtful about how Plagiarism free your post may be, you can visit plagiarismdetector.net and run your post on their Plagiarism checker.

  • You've got to habitually proofread your stuff before publishing it. It takes a few sec to do this, but failure to do it can turn your post to a disjointed mess.

What else? I don't even know it all and I've been writing for almost 2 years.

My point is that every journey has a starting point and a destination. If you want to excel as a writer and post stuff you will be proud of, you've got to make effort to learn the basics and nurture your skill. A new lad can learn from those that have been doing this for a longer duration.

Just ask questions. When people give you suggestions, you also need to take note of it and apply it. If you can do this, I genuinely believe that greatness will be on your horizon.

What of those that are not ready to learn?

Haha... There are people like that. Those that are not ready to learn the most basic things are just delaying the inevitable. You know, back in school days, there is always that kid whose hobby is to be told the same thing 2,3,4... infinity times. Haha.

Since I'm not a shaman, I don't know what will become of those people in the future.

I haven’t seen much negativity here. The only kind of negativity I feel whatsoever is exclusivity and disinterest for new people or slightly different people in certain communities, but it’s better than most other places out there.

It’s true we have some great and some not so great 😆 and they are all welcome!

Yeah. Everyone is welcome to contribute their quota to the overall pool of contents circulating on the blockchain.

It's going to be a progressive approach because these novices will some day become pro and they will also be there to assist other Newbies.

We learn everyday no matter how good we are.
It a step by step process.
Looking at the different type of individual here you just go to keep learning.
This is really helpful, the tips on better construction on sentence with grammarly and picture without copyright.
Thanks for sharing

Aweee, I love the thoughts that you shared here my friend. I am an entrany in this blogging world and being appreciated and being guided on the nitty-gritty of the platform means a lot already. I could attest as well that writing an article is an easy task as one needs to extract wonderful and helpful ideas before being fed by the audience.

Writing is surely not an easy thing. It needs a lot of attention and creativity in order for it to be executed perfectly.

What it takes to perfect the skill is perseverance and eagerness to learn. Every other thing will fall in place of we are ready to use the nuts and bolts at our disposal.

Well said my friend. Perseverance and eagerness to load new things is the formula to success in the world of blogging. If one can write fluently but doesn't have these qualities, he/she will not be able to prosper in the field for sure.

I keep repeating myself when I say that learning is endless. Gaining knowledge and skill does not end for everything in life changes that's why we have to learn to adapt otherwise we will be left behind. We must have the right attitude and be willing to learn and change :)

Yeah. That's the Truth! Everything is subject to change. Everything is evolving and we need to spice up our skills with the right attitude if we are to excel.

Attitude matters a lot. In places like this, giving a helping hand to those ready to learn is also an important attitude.

That's right. We have to pass on what we know. Let us grow together :)

Yeah. To those that are ready to learn, we surely have to teach them

Sometimes novice has something very special to pros. No one should be under estimated.

When we learn to appreciate the uniqueness, we become unique, don't we?

Yeah. Everyone is unique regardless of their level of expertise and everyone deserves encouragement while they try to improve their writing. We all had our moments of being newbies so, helping other Newbies to learn the ropes should also be an integral part of our learning.

Thanks for Curating this under the umbrella of VYB. I appreciate it ✌️

That's true. Learning to let others learn is also a great learning

This is very realistic. My heart goes with the emotion of every word, as I read between the lines. Shall I say that I have experienced some of your points but I always chose to keep humility. Perhaps learning is a lifelong process. Forget about PhDs, Master's Degree, and Bachelor's Degree, what is most important in life is to be teachable with the eagerness to learn despite difficulty in the beginning. Regardless of the situation, one must never forget to say, "I can do it, and I will never give up." Positive attitude matters as well while thinking that all is well.

Thank you so much for sharing this post Sir, dear friend kene. I miss you in noise.cash. You are one of the first people I have interacted 6 months ago. I so remember your name and I so remember a brilliant friend like you. You may not remember me, but I would always remember your name and your contents there too.

Teachability is a very important trait we all need to have in everything we are doing. There have been many companies and many promising startup that failed to move to the next level just because those in charge were never ready to learn from others.

Even an expert will become a subject of caricature if they don't try to improve on their skills. That's life and the same thing happens in the world of content creators.

I'm always amazed by how far you have grown your writing skill. I can still recall when we started interacting on noise.cash. haha. Time really flies. I genuinely believe that you are on the right path. Greatness is on the horizon.

Hehe. Thank you for remembering me Sir, dear friend, Kene. noise.cash was my first home, and through it, I was able to move here and read.cash as well. To be honest, I did not really expect that I would explore content creation. That is, I would never know, unless I try. And now, to cope up with my job in the real world and in the virtual world, I really have to manage my time. Since I started engaging in different online communities, let me say that I have found my heart there through creating contents.

And I would always be thankful to all the people who had inspired me on this journey, I never thought I would pursue. Let me acknowledge you Sir, dear friend Kene. Your compliments had really uplifted my spirit when I started in noise.cash. Believe it or not, I still have screenshot of your compliments to me back then, and all the people who had really touched my journey in noise.cash. It is through the people who had really motivated and encouraged me, that had led me to such achievements aside from consistency and persistency.

I remember that I had made an article of this in read.cash, and you were included there as I had acknowledged you. On my next comment, I would paste the link. Just recognizing a person who had motivated me. Know that I am really forever grateful to you in ways you may not know.

Perhaps a simple words of encouragement, could be a big thing. And I thank you so much Sir, dear friend Kene. You would always be a part of every achievement I had in noise.cash and read.cash because you were one of the people who had really motivated me.

Here it is, I had found the link where I had acknowledged you. I had created this when I started my journey in read.cash about 6 months ago. That is why I so remember your name because of this, Sir.

Apt! Not everyone is born a writer and those who learnt the craft sometimes become better than those who are born with the skills. Thinking up and idea is one thing, writing it down in such a way that someone will get the message being passed across is another thing. There are so many challenges writers face especially those who do not have English as their first language but have to go through the rigorous process of using a translator so more people can read, understand and appreciate their works.

It doesn't matter if you are a budding writer, an excellent writer or a pro, we all need encouragements and one such way is through great comments left on the post of cos after an upvote.

This is the fact I truly see in many areas of life. Yeah, there are so many people who were born with some skills. We also need to recognize that some get to develop such skills by learning, pratice and their desire to learn.

History will not be kind to us if we make caricature of people's genuine effort to learn and grow as writers. Every sort of support counts. We can teach them how to use the right tools that will help them polish their writing and editing skills.

Well said!
