Hi hivers, though I joined hive last year, I became active only recently, so I still consider myself a newbie.
I would be sharing the challenges I faced on the hive and how I overcame them.

So after making my introductory post on the hive and also including it on my blog, I went to the @shadowhunter community. I saw a particular post that capture my interest, the shadow was beautiful, and the author captured it so perfectly that I knew I had to comment. I wrote my comment and click post but was surprised when I got an error message, saying I need additional Resource Credits to post my comment. I was confused, what was Resource Credits, then I decided to do my research.
What are Resource Credits

Resource Credits are what determine how many transactions we can do on the hive. These transactions include; posting, commenting, reblogging, cross posting, voting, powering up and other transactions
Resource Credits are usually 100% when a person starts blogging on a hive and becomes reduced with each transaction. The amount of Resource Credits used depends on the transaction you make. Each transaction uses a specific amount of Resource Credits. It takes about 5 days for RCs to become fully charged. RCs are however not transferable.
How do you get RCs
Delegated hive power: an hiver with enough hive power can delegate hive power to you.

https://giftgiver.site/ is a site that delegates hive power to you. You can click the link, type your username and 10 hive power will be delegated to you, however, since many people use the site you might get a message that tells you to check back later. This may be because the site has delegated hive power to lots of people. I have been delegated 10 hive power from the site, this has increased the amount of Resource Credits I need to make transactions. Thank you @giftgiver
Hive power: When you post or comment on hive and you get upvoted. After 7 days, you earn more hive power from the post. This gives you more Resource Credits to do transactions.
Stacking: Hive tokens earned on hive can be stacked. When you stacked hive tokens, you convert them to hive power, also called "powering up".

You can convert your staked hive back to hive but it takes about 13 weeks. You can also buy more hives, and use them to power up and increase your Resource Credits.
Editing a post
My second challenge was editing, I wanted to edit my introductory post but I didn't know how. After like two weeks, I was curious about the three-button icon on my post

I clicked on it and...

And saw the edit option🤭🤭, yes I know knowledge is indeed power..
I am also grateful to @erikah post on @ocd, the post enlightened me a lot about what to do as a newbie on @hive blockchain.
I hope this post helps someone
