Canada Olympic Park was built for the 1988 Winter games that Calgary hosted. It is still in operation today and features ski jumps, luge, and bobsled tracks. In the western part of the city, where foothills eventually lead to the Rockies, it has a really nice backdrop of the mountains. The views around here are amazing, with so many hilltop vantage points to be able to look into the great beyond that lies outside the city. Whenever you are on this side of the city and start to go uphill, the majestic peaks will start to rise out of the landscape as you look to the west.
