This is about the closest I have ever been able to get to the moon. My lens, a Nikon 200-500mm, is able to give me great reach, yet I know their are even longer lenses and even telescope adapters that I could use for photography. No matter how close I get, I will always wonder what is going on up there; I don't picture myself ever getting to walk or bounce across the surface. Maybe one day we will start building bases up there and we can get more of an idea of what its like up there beyond the original Apollo space missions. I think being down here and wondering about it all is half the fun, though.
