Beef is one of the most popular types of meat. Rendang is a beef dish that is specially cooked with selected spices which is one of the world's traditional culinary delights originating from the Indonesian part of Sumatra, namely Padang. Beef rendang is a delicious food served for special day moments or big day celebrations, for example holiday celebrations, family party celebrations or other big event moments.
Some time ago I visited my sister's house, she held a thanksgiving gathering with the extended family. Well, every big event we definitely provide a variety of mainstay menus, one of which is beef rendang, as I have explained rendang is a mainstay menu for Indonesian people on big day celebrations. We chose the beef rendang menu mixed with red beans, because my family and people in my area really like this food.

The Ingredients
300 grams of boiled red beans
2 liters of coconut milk
2 lime leaves
3 turmeric leaves
2 bay leaves
Before starting to cook you have to prepare boiled red beans, this boiling process is carried out until the red beans are really soft so that your rendang is delicious. Well, at the time of boiling I advise you to add salt, to make it easier for the red beans to cook evenly and the taste of the beans will be stronger and savory. Well, I have one more tip for you so that the red beans cook quickly, soak the red beans first in water for about 7 or 5 hours.
Softened Seasoning
6 cloves of garlic
30 dry red chilies
20 dry red chilies
3 sunti acid
7 cm turmeric
1 lump of ginger
1 lump of galangal
1 nutmeg
2 stalks lemongrass
Cooking Procedure
Step 1
First I prepare the ground spices by chopping all the ground spices then I blend as smooth as possible.Step 2
The next step is to heat enough cooking oil, then add the red onions, stir-fry until the red onions is wilted and emits a fragrant aroma.Step 3
Then add all the ground spices while stirring, stir-fry for 5 minutes.Step 4
Enter the pieces of lime leaves, turmeric leaves, star anise and bay leaves. Saute again for 10 minutes using medium heat.Step 5
Next I started to put in the chopped pieces of meat, you can chop the beef size according to your taste.Step 6
Cook the beef with the spices until the beef is completely blended with the spices or you can cook until the water reduces.Step 7
Well, after the water started to shrink I started adding coconut milk.Step 8

I serve beef rendang with warm white rice or if you don't like rice you can use other types of carbohydrates. The taste of the meat is very delicious, all the spices are perfectly absorbed in the beef, making me forget myself while enjoying it, I think my weight will swell this time he he he.
