Live in Present, Forget Past & Future

in #hive-1484412 years ago

Past, Present & Future, this is not about English Grammer course, but something which we all relate to. The three phases of life, which makes our life meaningful and ful of stories. While we can not do anything about past, neither we can predict about the future, so it makes it important to live life in present.

We will find a similar teaching in our old school of sanskrit language. Where a shlokas were best suited to describe the way of meaningful life.

गते शोको न कर्तव्यो भविष्यं नैव चिन्तयेत्|

वर्तमानेन कालेन वर्तयन्ति विचक्षणाः||

Gatey shoko na kartavyo bhavishyam naiva chintayet.
Vartmaanena kaalena vartayanti vichakshnaah.

Gatey = Past.
Shoko = Sorrow.
Na = not.
Kartavyo = that should be done. Bhavishyam = future.
Naiva = not
Chintayet = should worry about. Vartmaanena = present.
Kaalenan = time.
Vartayanti = live on.
Vichakshanaah = wise and experienced persons.

The meaning if this sanskrit zhlikas goes like this : We should neither feel sorry about what has already happened in the past nor unnecessarily worry about what will happen in future, Wise and experienced persons live life as per the demands of present prevailing conditions.

I think this sanskrit lines are best suitable for current humanity. Those times which have gone through, canot be brought back so we unable to mend it. Likewise, what lies ahead in future is unthinkable. People saves money for future, they have plan to execute, but not everytime it happens accordingly. So the age old scholar suggests us to live happily in our present condition. Rater than taking burden of past things in life and worrying about future things. Simply enjoy life of today.
Every day is a new day, and enjoy them by living lively.

Learning is Passion!!

A person make a living within the present, future is not determine by anybody, this is a good post that comes with lessons.

I tried to refresh people memory as have seen carrying burden of both future and past.

I love those lines. There is wisdom in every word. We should leave in the present and not worry about the future.

Good about these lines is that, it was from ancient text. Even that time people were living same life as they are living today

I see. Thanks for sharing
