Hello everyone,
Today I want to share with you a great breakfast place I went to recently. One of my friends who is into gastronomy and restaurants had brought me to this place before, and I don't remember being this impressed by a place before. When my mother came to Istanbul to visit me recently, I immediately knew where I needed to take her for breakfast!
The place is called Barnathan Roof, and it is located in one of the central neighborhoods in Istanbul, that is, Beyoğlu. The Beyoğlu district is home to Galata Tower, one of the most important touristic symbols of Istanbul and Turkey. If you've ever been to Turkey, you have most likely visited this tower or been around it.
What is awesome about this place is that because it is located very close to Galata Tower and it is at the terrace of the building, the place has a spectacular view of the tower. Even though the breakfast and the service itself are not that impressive, the tables are mostly booked out because of the view of Galata Tower and the wonderful ambiance. It is a must-visit spot for especially bloggers and Instagrammers!
The building itself, the Barnathan Apartment, is also a signature building for Istanbul. Representative of the neoclassical style, it is one of the earliest examples of 19th-century apartments in Galata. The breakfast place is located on the terrace of this building.
You can see in the photo what a beautiful view and the ambiance the place has.
When it comes to food, the place offers an open buffet breakfast. However, for a place like this, I think the variety of food options were not quite satisfying. Also, when I came here a few months back for the first time, I remember there were a lot more breakfast snack alternatives. Still, I won't complain as everything we tasted was delicious, and more importantly, we had an unforgettable experience!
