Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday and an happy first day of October to you all!
Yesterday I didn't paint anything new, but I have a very fruitful days in a different way: I found a lot of very good porcini (Boletus edulis)!

Yesterday, after the lunch, I went with my hubby @paolobeneforti and my mom in a forest not so far from my city, a forest where since many years I use to go to search edible mushroom, especially Porcini mushroom, a kind of edible mushroom that is very appreciate to cook and no cheap to buy (but I never bought them, because every year I found all the porcini I want to eat).
I had no my camera with me, because, as you can understand, when I walk under the trees to search mushroom I have just the strictly necessary with me: a little water, my small wicker basket and my phone.
Thanks my phone, I took (few) pics while I was there and so here they are:

My hubby while he was watching a porcino (you can see the mushroom close to his feet and, in detail, in the next pic):

At the end, when we came back to home, we have weighed all the porcini mushrooms we found and the result was around 4,5 Kg!
Just to know, I took also a couple of Bubbole (Macrolepiota excoriata) because I like to eat them (I use to cook them with few good olive oil for just few minutes):

Yesterday I cook some of them for dinner and they were very very good, but the most part of them will be cook by my mom to place into the freezer.
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

I want to try a boletus mushroom, is it true that they are very spongy?

The edible boletus, like almost all the edible mushrooms, are a little spongy, but it depends how you cook them. ^_^
