It is no secret that Google Pixel devices have been slowly grabbing hold of the Android Market one step at a time and this is due to a lot of factors today I will be discussing these factors that are playing a key role in the Popularity of Pixel Devices in India.
1. Stock Android
When it comes to Stock Android we have only one name in mind and that is PIXEL and their Stock Android which is like a breath of fresh air in our faces as almost everyone loves the STock Android experience rather than the more rashier UIs. It wouldn't be wrong to say that this is one of the most important USPs of Google Pixel Devices other than the Camera.
2. Influencers and Sponsorships
Google has tied up with several Influencers to promote their Pixel Devices which I feel is definitely a step in the right direction as even though the popularity is rising for Pixel devices it is still very very low considering the overall Market. Hell, they even promoted their device with Karan Johar in his show Coffee with Karan and I am pretty sure they had to pay a hefty fee for that one.
3. The Make In India
The Make In India campaign is something that the Government of India has been pushing upon a lot of foreign players. It basically means that the Government of India is forcing companies to make their Smartphones in India and construct a Factory which will lead to Indian Jobs and also a Make in India Sentiment as I have a Pixel 6A device that says Made in Vietnam and I would have definitely felt a tad bit prouder if that had said Made In India.
Now these were some Pros of Google Pixel Devices but they also have some Cons included in their repertoire and there are some that are pretty easy to look at.
First things first Pixel Devices are costly and are priced almost if not above Flagships like Samsung and iPhone which makes it harder for users to choose Pixel over iPhone or Samsung.
Second is the fact that most people don't know about the main USPs of a Pixel Device and that is partly due to low marketing which they have focused on this year.
Thirdly is the lack of Offline availability of Pixel devices as we Indians call Offline King Market and if a device is not available in Offline then chances are a lot of the public are just unaware of a device named PIXEL.
So yeah the Popularity of Pixel Devices is definitely rising in India and I feel like in a couple more years Pixel might grab a decent chunk of the Smartphone Market in India.
