Ahora que por fin tengo un poco más de tiempo decidí aprender un poco de programación. Mi intención es que algún día pueda desarrollar algo importante, pero no puedo quedarme solo con ideas, pues tengo que hacer algo para que suceda.
Now that I finally have a little more time I decided to learn a little bit of programming. My intention is that someday I can develop something important, but I can't just stay with ideas, because I have to do something to make it happen.
Fue entonces que encontré dos sitios en donde me creé una cuenta para aprender las más recientes tecnologías de programación. Esta vez también incluyen el desarrollo sobre Web3.
It was then that I found two sites where I created an account to learn the latest programming technologies. This time they also include Web3 development.
En esta oportunidad le mostraré dos opciones que considero muy interesantes. Una es Alchemy University, sitio que conocí gracias a @empoderat en uno de sus Tweets. En esta plataforma la forma de ingresar es completando un breve formulario para ser aceptados, y cuando eso sucede podremos pedir un NFT que servirá como pase para comenzar a estudiar.
This time I will show you two options that I consider very interesting. One is Alchemy University, a site that I met thanks to @empoderat in one of his Tweets. In this platform the way to enter is by completing a short form to be accepted, and when that happens we can ask for a NFT that will serve as a pass to start studying.
La otra plataforma no recuerdo como la encontré, pero tiene muy buenos contenidos que no deberíamos desaprovechar. Expondré un breve recorrido sobre ambos, pues apenas estoy comenzando a estudiar, y creo que los conocimientos previos me vienen muy bien para agilizar el aprendizaje. Quién sabe si algún día desarrolle algo para Hive 😋.
I don't remember how I found the other platform, but it has very good content that we should not miss. I will expose a brief tour on both, as I am just starting to study, and I think that previous knowledge is very good for me to speed up learning. Who knows if someday I will develop something for Hive 😋.
Alchemy University
En esta plataforma tenemos a simple vista tres opciones para elegir (la última trata sobre una documentación), aunque recomiendo empezar por la primera para continuar con las demás. En mi caso opté por empezar con Javascript Fundamentals, donde aprenderemos lo básico de este lenguaje. Aunque a decir verdad, quizás va mucho más allá de lo básico, haciendo un recorrido bastante avanzado sobre las redes.
In this platform we have at first glance three options to choose from (the last one is about documentation), although I recommend starting with the first one to continue with the others. In my case I chose to start with Javascript Fundamentals, where we will learn the basics of this language. Although to tell the truth, perhaps it goes far beyond the basics, making a fairly advanced tour of the networks.
Tenemos también implementado un IDE en el mismo sitio, en el cual al lado podemos ver las instrucciones de la ejercitación que estemos haciendo. Para quienes conocieron Code Academy, es algo bastante similar.
We have also implemented an IDE on the same site, in which we can see the instructions of the exercise we are doing. For those who knew Code Academy, it is quite similar.
No se necesita ningún tipo de requisito previo y el programa está hecho para completarlo en tres semanas. Está preparado para quienes se inician en este lenguaje.

En lo particular a mí me encanta lo que ofrece el programa. Se hace un recorrido por lo básico para luego continuar con estructura de datos, y por lo visto son temas que se pueden llegar a ver en una universidad, como la que yo asisto. Así que es mucho más que bienvenido ese conocimiento.
I particularly love what the program offers. It goes through the basics and then continues with data structure, and apparently these are topics that you can get to see in a university, like the one I attend. So that knowledge is more than welcome.
Claramente esto está mucho más facilitado por la propia tecnología, pues no es lo mismo aprender sobre pilas en el lenguaje C que en Javascript donde disponemos de métodos para usarlos en nuestro código.
Clearly this is much more facilitated by the technology itself, because it is not the same to learn about stacks in the C language than in Javascript where we have methods to use them in our code.
Como vemos, se puede aprender varias cosas avanzadas en este curso, introduciéndonos en un mundo de posibilidades muy extenso si persistimos en aprender sobre los distintos caminos que se nos abrirán a medida que continuemos.
As we can see, several advanced things can be learned in this course, introducing us to a very extensive world of possibilities if we persist in learning about the different paths that will open up to us as we continue.
Algo que debo aclarar es que la plataforma está totalmente en inglés, por lo que quizás necesitemos pasar a nuestro idioma utilizando el traductor incorporado en nuestro navegador, aunque los videos sí no hay forma de traducirlos. Aquí es donde es importante dominar otro idioma que no es el nativo.
Something I should clarify is that the platform is entirely in English, so we may need to switch to our language using the translator built into our browser, although the videos themselves there is no way to translate them. This is where it is important to master a language that is not your native one.
En mi caso, intento leer el contenido que está en inglés y luego lo paso al español, más que nada para ir aprendiendo nuevas palabras y a la vez entenderlo todo sobre lo que estoy estudiando, aunque solo es cosa mía, no tiene por qué ser así.
In my case, I try to read the content that is in English and then I convert it to Spanish, mostly to learn new words and at the same time understand everything about what I am studying, although it is just me, it doesn't have to be like that.
Para el siguiente curso se requiere tener aprobado el anterior que mencionamos. Se trata de un Bootcamp sobre el desarrollo sobre Ethereum. Éste dura al menos 7 semanas en ser completado y es de dificultad intermedia.
For the following course it is required to have passed the previous one we mentioned. This is a Bootcamp on Ethereum development. This one takes at least 7 weeks to complete and is of intermediate difficulty.
Lo interesante es que debemos poner en práctica el lenguaje de Solidity, enfocado en el desarrollo de contratos inteligentes en la red de Ethereum. Supongo que el conocimiento que obtengamos también nos tendría que servir para muchas cosas, como trabajar sobre la red de Polygon, por poner un ejemplo.
The interesting thing is that we should put into practice the Solidity language, focused on the development of smart contracts on the Ethereum network. I guess the knowledge we gain would also have to be useful for many things, like working on the Polygon network, to give an example.
A mí simplemente me parece fascinante, pero supongo que me impactará más cuando ya haya avanzado lo suficiente como para crear mis propias aplicaciones. Ese día que lo logre, seguramente lo publicaré aquí en Hive para todos ustedes.
I just find it fascinating, but I guess it will have more impact on me when I am advanced enough to create my own applications. On that day when I do, I will surely post it here on Hive for you all.
Por último en este aspecto, mencionaré que el NFT se envía a una wallet descentralizada. En mi caso opté por usar Trust Wallet y tuve que usar Wallet Connect para que se logre sincronizar la información. Una vez que sucedió, ya tenía acceso total al sitio. También podíamos haber usado MetaMask y no habría problema.
Lastly in this aspect, I will mention that the NFT is sent to a decentralized wallet. In my case I opted to use Trust Wallet and had to use Wallet Connect to get the information synced. Once that happened, I had full access to the site. We could have also used MetaMask and there would have been no problem.
Open Bootcamp
Ésta plataforma es muy completa. Ni bien comenzamos nos dan a elegir la posibilidad de seguir una ruta de aprendizaje en donde se puede aprender lo básico de la programación como también ir directamente a lo que es front-end, back-end o su combinación como full-stack. Quizás lo que no me haya gustado es que tenga Java como módulo obligatorio en la ruta que deseemos, aunque algo bueno podremos rescatar de aprenderlo.
This platform is very complete. As soon as we start we are given the possibility to choose to follow a learning path where you can learn the basics of programming as well as go directly to what is front-end, back-end or its combination as full-stack. Perhaps what I didn't like is that Java is a mandatory module in the path we want, although we can rescue something good from learning it.
Por lo que veo a simple vista, son contenidos muy interesantes y amplios. Llevaría mucho tiempo aprenderlos por lo que habría que estar seguros de qué es lo que realmente deseamos estudiar. Qué es aquello que nos servirá tanto en nuestro futuro.
As far as I can see at a glance, the contents are very interesting and broad. It would take a long time to learn them, so we would have to be sure of what we really want to study. What is it that will serve us so well in our future.
Algo que me parece súper interesante es que luego de tu formación en la plataforma ellos te prepararán para encontrar un empleo acorde a tus conocimientos. Incluso si no fuese así, lo que hayamos aprendido en el transcurso funcionaría en el ámbito laboral, por lo que nos tendrían que llegar ofertas de empleo a las que postularse.
Something that I find very interesting is that after your training on the platform they will prepare you to find a job according to your knowledge. Even if this were not the case, what we have learned in the course would work in the workplace, so we would have to receive job offers to apply for.
También hay un foro donde podemos hacer preguntas o interactuar con los demás estudiantes. Muy necesario cuando creemos que no podemos ir más allá porque nos hemos trabado o por alguna otra razón. En cualquier caso, viene muy bien este apartado.
There is also a forum where we can ask questions or interact with other students. Very necessary when we think we can't go further because we are stuck or for some other reason. In any case, this section is very useful.
En cuanto a las certificaciones, éstas se obtienen aprobando unos exámenes respecto a la tecnología o módulo estudiado. Todas duran 30 minutos, pero eso no significa que sean sencillas. Prepararse para ello es dar el siguiente paso.
As for the certifications, these are obtained by passing some exams regarding the technology or module studied. They all last 30 minutes, but that does not mean they are easy. Preparing for it is the next step.
Para no extenderme de más, les muestro uno de los cursos de Javascript en donde se puede ver que se enseñan cosas avanzadas, que tranquilamente se podrían complementar o reforzar con respecto a la otra plataforma que mostramos anteriormente.

Hay ejercicios que simulan ser de ámbito laboral como también lo son académicos, por lo que nos asegura aprender lo suficiente como para avanzar de manera firme. Sí es cierto que son videos On Demand, lo que nos asegura tenerlos disponibles cuando queramos, quizás facilitando nuestros estudios al poder acomodar nuestros horarios a conveniencia.
There are exercises that simulate a work environment as well as academic ones, so we are sure to learn enough to advance steadily. It is true that they are On Demand videos, which assures us to have them available whenever we want, perhaps facilitating our studies by being able to accommodate our schedules at our convenience.
En mi opinión, son dos plataformas muy interesantes y útiles para formarnos como futuros desarrolladores. Ya luego el camino que elijamos será cosa nuestra.
In my opinion, they are two very interesting and useful platforms to train us as future developers. Then the path we choose will be up to us.
