"THE LANDSCAPE FROM HERE" - Some shots from Montalbán mountains, Carabobo, Venezuela. || ENG-ESP || (18 Pics)

In our country, technically speaking, we only have two seasons: One "Inhumanly rainy" and one "Devastatingly dry".... Ha ha ha ha... At least that's how it seems to me that it's been for some years now!... :-)

-A photo from "The town' s last street" from where you can see a mountain formation called "Cerro La Copa" and "Cerro el Peñon"...At the foot of the wood, you can see a small plantation of "dark tobacco", this tobacco is grown for handmade processing and is a very resistant variety to the rainy climate.

The rainy season (also "technically speaking") goes from the end of March to the end of September and the dry season should start precisely today (Autumnal Equinox in the Northern hemisphere)... Although I can say with full authority, that this has changed significantly in recent years, I suppose due to global warming, which is clearly noticeable in our region.

-Once you start the ascent, the landscape begins to offer endless possibilities for photography... The greens and blues combine in the light of an inclement sun.

However, it does happen that, at the end of September, the weather begins to change relatively and some mornings begin to dawn without fog and rain, the skies become bluer and are dotted with clouds of pristine whiteness.

-The road is quite steep, from the village to the top it is about 7 km, but the ascent is 1200 mts. (The village is about 600 m above sea level and the highest part of the mountain is about 1800 m above sea level).

The sun also tends to shine brightly and very high temperatures are experienced, as well as a significant increase in humidity, which I assume has to do with the evaporation of the remaining water in the soils.

-Again "technically speaking" this is a road for 4X4 vehicles, but the truth is that when it rains, you can only go up in a rocket I guess, because the slope and the rain combine to make it impossible to travel in a vehicle most of the time.... Ah... Yes!... I forgot: That little dog in the photo is "Chicho".... He is my "street friend" and whenever he finds me in the street taking pictures he follows me for quite a long time... He's a very nice and intelligent dog...

-The people who live in these mountains often build their houses with materials they find here... Mud and wood are combined with old metal roofs and many houses are often small and charming... This one in the photo above is in the process of being built and looks quite nice, and it was placed on a hill with a wonderful view.

This type of day is something I appreciate, as it offers really nice views and colours... So they are days to go for a walk and take some pictures of the landscape, whose colours and contrasts are usually pleasant.

-The people here are strong and tend to live on what they raise, sow and harvest.... It is easy to find this father and his children returning from the village after selling their products in the village market... This kind of photography really captivates me and I usually like it better in black and white.

-As you go uphill, the village looks smaller... And in some places where the slope is extremely steep, the road was paved thanks to the contribution of communications companies that have signal repeater stations at the top, as well as the national army.

These are then some images of the valleys and hills around Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela)... I think that in them you can clearly appreciate everything I have mentioned in previous lines, I also wanted to put their black and white versions, because this kind of photos represent a wonderful challenge for those of us who love editing in black and white, due to the complexity of contrasts they present.

-It's already midday and I'm only a third of the way to the top, but it's still enough to take this lovely photo of the valley to the south... Besides, I've decided to go back, as the usual weather pattern these days is of clear sunrises and rainy afternoons... And I don't want to be here when it starts to rain!... :-)

-From the last hill before reaching the valley, already on my way back, I can see the downpour coming relentlessly... Fortunately, it will give me time to get to the village and maybe to my home!... But it was worth it, it was a morning of lovely photos to take...

Thank you very much for stopping by and appreciating, see you soon again with more photos in between... A hug and greetings to all.

Those pictures are really mind-blowing. It seems to me that the mountains and clouds are playing here. I'd feel really lucky if I could ever go there.
Beautiful photo taken.

To ascend that challenging dirt road to find the little house with spectacular view is really worth it.

But be ready to sweat isn't it, that hiking locals proves it with their sweating shirtless sweating body.

Ha ha ha... The people who live here in the mountains, they don't seem to feel the heat and humidity!.... :)) It is impressive to watch them climbing up the slope under the embracing sun, while they are talking and laughing without forcing their breath... I can hardly notice them when they greet me!... ha ha ha :)) But it's worth it!... Thank you very much for the appreciation and the visit.... I send my best wishes for a happy Sunday!

The hot sunlight in my opinion has its own happiness there, especially with regard to photography, like what you are doing, so that the photo display is brighter than the natural scenery there.

Thank you very much for your kind words and your appreciation...
