As imperceptibly as grief
The summer lapsed away,
Too imperceptible, at last,
To seem like perfidy.
A quietness distilled,
As twilight long begun,
Or Nature, spending with herself
Sequestered afternoon.
The dusk drew earlier in,
The morning foreign shone,
A courteous, yet harrowing grace,
As guest who would be gone.
And thus, without a wing,
Or service of a keel,
Our summer made her light escape
Into the beautiful.

Have you heard of the “Colour / Black & White” photography community? The community was started in July by the talented @daveks and is a playground for those of us who enjoy editing our photographs to black and white, as well as the option of selective color.
This is my first post to the new community.
Also tagging the talented host of the #monochromemonday hashtag, the one-and-only awesome @old-guy-photos as well as the lovely @dswigle who hosts the #alwaysaflower hashtag.
