Today I present you eight photos from one of my favorite St. Petersburg cemeteries. Autumn is a great time to check this place, cause the area becomes bare, devoid of cheerful flowers and greenery, dead leaves themselves remind of death, trees sadly stretch their arms of their branches to the sky, and tombstones are clearly visible, unlike in summer (when the greenery of the trees strongly masks and hides them). The melancholic autumn nature itself calls to come for a walk in the cemetery, and of course every time I come not alone, but with a camera. I processed all today's photos twice - in color and in monochrome. I will be glad to hear which versions you liked more.
Сегодня я хочу показать 4 фотографии с прогулки по моему любимому некрополю Новодевичьего женского ставропигиального монастыря в Санкт-Петербурге. Осень самое подходящее время для разглядывания кладбищенских красот; пейзаж освобождается от зелени и веселых цветов, палые листья сами собой навевают мысли об увядании всего живого, простирают ветви к небу, и в отличие от лета надгробия хорошо видны - никакая зелень их не маскирует. Меланхоличная осенняя природа зовет прогуляться на кладбище, и разумеется я прихожу не один, но с камерой. Сегодняшние снимки я обработал в цвете и в монохроме; буду рад услышать, какие версии вам больше понравились.
On one of the gravestones I came across a puddle left by the rain - not a very pretty thing in itself, but the dead leaves that fell into it and the reflection of the bare branches of the trees made it spectacular. Which version clicked better for you?
The chapel did not look too spectacular, but the huge cross at one of her walls did. A good occasion for the monochrome capture.
The last maple leaf left. Looked very touchy - mind, it wasnt a stick, but a whole little maple tree! with only one leaf left...
