Good morning, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity as usual. I went into the neighbouring community to clean up the place. The place was littered with different types of waste such as plastic bottles, soda cans, glass bottles, polythene, wraps of sweets and biscuits, sachet of water etc.
The rate of burning waste is alarming, and the dumpsite smoke causes significant harm to internal organs. Locals living around the dump site are affected by the burning of waste at the dumpsite, which is mainly plastic. The inability of the leaders to devise a strategy on plastic pollution makes landfills the final destination for non-biodegradable materials such as plastics, nylons, tyres, etc. where they are set on fire. Plastic waste is known to contain carbon and hydrogen. These compounds mix with chloride in food waste, and when they are set on fire, the result is a toxic gas that is harmful to humans.
When dioxin is inhaled, it can cause coughing, shortness of breath, and dizziness.
One to change a few. A few to change many. Many to change the world. It all starts with one."
These pictures show how I carried out my cleaning activity.
As my blog continues to grow, please continue to support and engage me.
