While everyone was busy having lots of fun with families that they've last seen in a long time, with their own family but at somewhere different or with friends at different locations. The holiday was different on my end as it started with me signing up for a training that was promised to add more value to my knowledge in life generally.
I was skeptical about it but I think it had a lot to do with the amount of money I was asked to pay, it was like I used all my savings to pay for the fee so maybe that also fueled my energy to enjoy the training and learn just as much as I could, not taking it for granted. In the real sense, it was worth every penny and time spent on it.
I can still remember how busy the month was as it was the holiday period, people traveling here and there to meet with their loved ones, and I was always on my way to just one place for two weeks as early as 8am where I'd spend the whole day before going back home in the evenings. It wasn't my usual routine but somehow I adjusted.
Learning something new with new people around, from new knowledge sources and experience a side of life that I had never thought of was very interesting. Even though it held me back from going to see my family which wouldn't have been possible because of other reasons, I'm glad I signed up for what I was made to go through.
The series of classes, the exams, the friends I made and the rush of ideas that came to mind during this training are very much appreciated as they helped me realize again that I am not limited to only what I've been taught all my life. It's an opportunity I'm glad I took advantage of and hopefully, there would be more advantages to this decision I took during the bubbling holiday.
Another highlight of my holiday that is an unusual best experience was attending a business summit. It was unusual because I've never seen myself as a business person but somehow I was excited about this invite when I got it. I thought it'd be wiser to broaden my horizon in any way I can while I still can and that paid off really well even though I paid nothing to be at the summit.
You could say my holiday wasn't the most fun in comparison with what many had as their holiday best experiences but for me, this was more than fun for me. It kinda prepared me well into the new year to have a more focused plan on what I really want to do at least up until I get a good offline job. Hopefully, I'll make good use of more holidays to come and have the usual fun but for now, I appreciate the unusual experience I've had.
