Teaching the Value of Good Hygiene//Cleanplanet 👍

Growing up, my younger brother Victor never seemed to care much about hygiene. He would often leave his clothes dirty, avoid bathing unless reminded, and rely on others to clean up after him. As his older sibling, I knew it was my responsibility to guide him. One afternoon, after noticing his pile of unwashed clothes and the stubborn dirt on his skin, I sat him down for a talk. I explained to him how important it was to stay clean—not just to look good but also to stay healthy and feel confident. He listened carefully, nodding as I spoke. To make learning fun, I turned it into a challenge.
I made sure he gave his clothing a good scrub and a good rinse as I demonstrated the correct way to wash them. He struggled at first, but with support, he improved. I then helped him realise the value of taking care of his body and having a bath every day. I even showed him how to clean his fingernails and apply deodorant. He complained at first, but he eventually accepted the practice. Now, Victor expresses gratitude to me daily for imparting these teachings to him at a young age. I am so pleased of the responsible young man he has grown into, and he feels more self-assured and independent.
