Today I will be talking on Dry season in Nigeria.
What do we all know by dry season?
Firstly I want us all to know that dry season in Nigeria usually occurs from November to March. I know that many people don't know how dry season come to be 😂. Let me bring it to your notice that the dry season is caused or rather influence by the harmattan wind from the Sahara.
Farming during Dry season:
During this period, farmers in Nigeria practices a dry season farming which involves planting and cultivating crops and they also rely on irrigation system to water their farms.
There are various crops that produce richly during this season which includes:
Pepper 🌶️, tomatoes, cucumber 🥒, watermelon 🍉, okra, spinach etc most of these crops are being produced through irrigation system.
The dry season is a period in a year that experiences low or no rainfall.
