On the day she was to arrive, I had prepared a meal because I wouldn’t starve my friend, yeah? After waiting for hours, she finally showed up in the evening. It was a happy reunion that was supposed to last for a period of one month.
In the spirit of catching up and gisting, she mentioned that she had a wedding ceremony to attend. One of her friends who I also know was going to get married, and she was to be the best lady. So, through the night, we talked about the outfits and her looks for the day, however, one night was not enough to produce the result.
So, for days, we planned. From the outfit colour to her shoes, bag and makeup. In fact, there was a plan for a surprise bridal shower for the bride-to-be. The excitement on her face was so bright that I couldn’t wait to see her in our inspirations.

We searched the internet for a perfect outfit that would befit her status as the best lady to the bride, and after searching for hours, we finally found one. It was going to be a banger, cheiii.
Okay, style is checked now, fabrics sourcing was next. After consultations with our tailor friends, we settled for a particular fabric that would suit the style perfectly. Now, it was time to find a tailor.
I know of one. My sister knows her well and speaks highly of her outfits. I also saw some of her works on her page, and I felt she could bring out the beauty just as we envisaged. We visited her, negotiated the price and made payment. We left after her repeated assurance that it was going to be perfect. So, we returned home, anticipating the perfect best ladyship outfit, and here is what we got.

First, when I saw the outfit, I was angry. But one thing I make sure not to do when I get angry like that is talk. If I could talk, I would say more than I should, so I would rather remain silent, and just smile. My friend on the other hand, who is the real owner of the outfit is like me. She looked at me and said nothing. Of course, talking would’ve aggravated the issue. And that’s because the more we tried to correct her mistakes and let her see the difference in what she delivered, the firmer she got on letting us know that the outfit was perfect.
Finally, she gave in to making corrections, and once again, here’s what we got.

Now, we are frustrated. We couldn’t even make any corrections anymore. Rather, we resorted to finding a solution to the outfit or even find a replacement so that she could be the happy bride’s best lady and not wear the frustrated look. It was three days until the wedding.
I checked my wardrobe to see if I had the exact colour in another style that she could wear, but sadly I didn’t. So, we were left with finding a way to alter the outfit so that it will befit the occasion. While thinking of a way out, we thought she could use a belt.
So, the day to the wedding, my friend went to the market to search for a belt and also called some other friends who were going to attend the wedding as well to help her out perhaps they could find another one that’s better.
One of her friends did find a better option, and here is the complete outfit on the wedding day.

Frustration:0, happy bride’s best lady: 1.
Now that the wedding is over, we have taken the outfit to another tailor so that it can be fixed.
