From the beginning of farming you need creativity and skills plus farming tips so that you can Excel in your farm career. As a professional farmer you must also carry along more people in other to strive best in your crop production. There are a lot of chances that will bring forth positive change in as much as you are very open to people and you are also open to new ideas. That is why agricultural mindset is all about creativity and new ideas in agriculture. Planting of crops most especially in the type of season we have here in Nigeria you must take note of so many things in terms of change in the weather condition, the change in nature itself. All this actually contributes earnestly to a very successful Farm production.

Planting of maize is one thing that is extremely common here in Nigeria even when you have a backyard Farm or garden you must always find this as a very common crop. This crop is a very good example of nature manifesting in its own good way. When you plant just a single seed it will come out in Multiple Folds. This is greatness in nature. In this article I'm going to expose more about planting of maize and how it can be done within a short range of time when you have the agricultural Farmland that is fertile.

When you have a very good agricultural Farmland you can be able to secure as much as crop production you want. It is a very technical application. But when you also have a very good and fertile agricultural Farmland but your seed is not a very good one and a viable one as at that then all your effort will not show any evidence positively. So these are the steps that a common man can make so that he or she will be called a mis farmer within three and a half to four months of planting the seed.

HOW DO A MAIZE SEED OR CORN SEED LOOKS LIKE. THE DESCRIPTION.

As an ordinary man language, the Maize seed is a very bit bigger than some seeds such as the okra seed, the watermelon seed, the Cowpea seed, but it is also of different species depending on individual choices. This is the yellow mix that is being planted or cultivated around here. This may be different from the ones you know I mean the color.

This was when I poured it in my hand. Although it has another different color entirely as shown in the pictures.

When you want to plant the Maize seed, you also need to analyze it clearly and see if they are no holes in them before you plant it. If by mistake you plant the ones that are already perforated that means it is no job well done. It will not germinate at all.

The next thing you also need to do is to secure a very good agricultural Farmland which will secure a very good production at the end of the planting season. Then you bring out your cutlass and hoe. As you can see it in the pictures then you use your cutlass to make a hole not extremely too deep.

Then you select a very good MAIZE seed. 2 to 4 seed per hole. This is our you plant it and it will be uniform. Even if is a very mechanized farming they planter will have been programmed to the number of seed to be planted.

When you noticed that you have already perforated seed you can give it a 50/50 chances if it will germinate. But on the other notes, you can add another one good seed to it making four or five per hole. Then When they start to grow up you keep observing.

When I finished covering the soil surface the next thing I also did was to use my feet to Press the soil and the seed together so that there will be a very good impact.

So this is how it looks like after you might have use your leg to press it down very well. If there is no good contact with the seed and the soil it will never germinate.

After all planting was done this is also how it looks like. There will be a round portion at interval of your agricultural Farmland that's means that there is a particular planting task already completed.

After I finish planting them I added water again so that there will be instant reaction for the seed to germinate. Your own case you may not be privileged to have additional water to add. It will surely germinate 7 to 14 days. but when I have it at the moment I made use of it.

The planting of maize can be done within a range of 2 days and you will be finally done. And your expectation should be three and a half month or at most 4 months after planting. You must also consider the nutrients value of your agricultural Farmland. If your Farmland is not too fertile it may also contribute to it negatively.

Have learnt something new today again, I didn't know that if the maize seed has a hole you should not use it, I was thinking you could plant any kind of maize.

That is called seed verification. You must be observant as a farmer or else. All the labor will be negative.

I didn't know perferated seeds aren't good for planting.. now I know why the maize my cousin planted didn't even germinate, we thought it was because he planted it outside the house, just right in front of the gate . Thank you for sharing

Maize cultivation is very common in Anambra where i resided but many failed to pay attention to the seed they cultivate. This can effect the coin germination.
