I’ve been here on the farm enough (nearly two weeks) that I’ve developed habits.
I tend to sit in the same place, morning and evening, where I can enjoy this marvelous view & bird watch.
Another thing I’m quite fond of, and has become part of my routine is picking aloe, draining its undesirable sap & applying the good stuff all over my mosquito-ravaged body.
It cools, reduces inflammation and keeps this vain, 48-year-old looking young(er).
Moving onto the edible goodness of Colombia. I’m a foodie and like to eat as well as try new things.
After dinner, for desert, I’ve gotten in the habit of having a cracker with a bit of the local white cheese (like a less salty feta) with a slice of guava paste on top.
And, if I’m feeling decadent (like tonight) I dribble a little cream on top 🤭
Having an air fryer has been a game changer — I say it’s like having a sous chef and a nutritionist by your side.
You get to cook in a fraction of the time, with very little oil (so, healthier) and tastier, too, as it’s juicier, crisper.
A case in point, this thin Colombian meat and French fries prepared in around 20 minutes!
