It's that time of the year again, hot and very windy.
This time of the year there are a lot of fires going around, especially in the Northern Cape of South Africa 🇿🇦
I can remember 2 years ago when me and my family stayed on the farm there was a big fire that started on one farm and ended up along all the farms. It was a very scary moment when our farm burned down. But God protected us for luck it stopped around the house.
About 2 weeks ago there started a fire about 30 km just out the where we stay now. It started on Wednesday and it went on and the wind was very very strong for a few days and the fire was running through the fields and farms. My son's teacher is staying just about 15km out of the city and the fire 🔥 was at her place too. I was terrified she sent me some photos on WhatsApp I want to share with you guys pictures
It was very scary. On Saturday the fire still went on and came near the other farms and there was a lot of damage. There was one family that lost their house the whole house burned down. 😭
The next moment the people in our emergency group told us that the fire was just next to the Caltex garage near us. So many people helped to get the fire down. I was sitting outside and took some photos of the smoke there was a lot of smoke.
In this last picture I added, the back of our yard, and there are mountains and it burned on the mountain also. Oh, it was scary to see the flames.
There was a time when we could not even see the mountains because of all the smoke
They were trying to get a plane to just help to get the fires down. It is very very expensive to get one out it's about R28 000 for an hour. But they got one and not even that helped a lot because the wind was very very very strong. So many people were praying for rain.
I got some more photos that some people sent me. They took it while they were on the road.
We wanted to go to the inlaws on the farm because it was my son's birthday that day. But luckily we could go. When my husband came home from work we first asked people are it safe to drive Lucky it was.
When we were on the farm it was not a long time before it started to rain. We all were so thankful for the rain. The Fire stopped because of the rain. It rained the whole night.
God was hearing everyone's prayers.
