Mission Accomplished!
Casualties: One Platform Truck Tire
I had originally planning on rolling this piece of wood but realized that wasn't gonna happen due to it's uneven weight distribution.
Thankfully, the homeowner came out and offered to help. He first suggested we place it in a skateboard he had but I mentioned having a platform truck so we decided to use that.
With the help of his son, we were able to load it partially in the dolly form and I switched it to the platform truck using a kick lever. Glad I didn't end up smashing my toe in the process.
Once we had it balanced and strapped down, I carefully rolled it a couple blocks to my house but then came the challenge of getting it into my backyard.
After removing any obstacles I could, I made it past the fence but then hit a tuft of grass which I attempted to correct but the plastic tire eventually gave leading to it being set into the position on the picture.
Took the one on the left. The other probably weighs 500lbs!
After this ordeal, I don't think I will be going back for the other log but am content to call it a day. Next project will be cutting this down to a more symmetrical form and using it for my tomahawk and axe throwing practice, an activity I have found to be incredibly therapeutic I might add.
Oh and repairing my former platform truck tire which has been sadly reduced to a dolly 😔.
