We all want something, most of us don't want to admit it, it could be for shame or fear of what others will think about us. People keep lying every day or hiding the whole truth, without exception, everyone does it despite those who use a good cause as an excuse, we all manage the information for our own privilege.
People with economic and political power (in every aspect) ask for transparency and rules to follow, but those demands won't work for them. Leaders who get annoyed by uncomfortable questions, those ones that put their trust in doubt, make them no different to the others. Crypto has changed little bit that, but just a little bit, people will always stand "the community controls everything", but the truth is that the powerful ones are the ones who write the rules. It is easy to say we are millions vs 1, but where money is involved the one who has more money controls everything, even people and their community...
It's our right to know what expenses they did to determine that price, and they can't get mad because if we always say yes to everything people will put the prices they want just if they see we have money. Taking more than 100% of profits from an article is crazy, an many people does that, even the ones I know. But how can we fight against that? I think we can't, to be honest. It's like corruption, since everyone is in the game, they don't want to stop it because they are winning, in this case, most of the human beings are playing and using the same rules while they can.
Corruption occurs at every level, from work to school, in our family, friends, even on Hive, but that's a deep topic I wouldn't want to go through... Everywhere a human being is, there will be corruption at any level and is kind of a jerk to assume this, because we know there are good people out there, even we consider ourselves good people, but we already know that we are not perfect as we thought, we have our bad things, specific thing we never share to others, and probably never will, but we know is in our thoughts and just because you don't do them doesn't make you different to the others.
The good thing is there are people doing worse things than we do (?), It sounds better when you think about it in a positive way. I know it is horrible to think in this way, but it is healthier at the same time, we have to assume that we can find great and beautiful things but dark and terrifying things as well.
If you ask me, I think my childhood and adolescence could have been better if I thought in this way, because that's the reality we live, and it's better than believing in things that don't exist.
This is just a small thought I wanted to share about some things I have seen all the time.
